That was an ugly mess, and I am in agreement with you. I just don't see how this debate was productive or useful for the country. I don't see the point in going forward if Trump is going to behave like that.

While there were some funny moments, the total chaos managed to even stifle most of the entertainment factor. I doubt anyone's minds were changed (which I expected). Heck a lot of people probably turned this debate off after the first 15 minutes or so. Chris Wallace needs a stiff drink now. I'm not sure any moderator could have kept this mess under control. I'm halfway convinced that the remaining 2 presidential debates should just be canceled. They'll likely be more of the same, and largely a waste of time. Just have the VP debate between Pence and Kamala and be done with this. There aren't that many undecided voters out there. If they're gonna stick with the remaining 2 Pres debates then they need MUCH stronger controls and protocols. Muting of mics, and more.

Chris Wallace was a total failure as a moderator. This debate simply ended. I can't recall ever seeing a presidential debate where the two candidates weren't allowed time for a closing statement, and for more than two minutes. There was none! It's incredible. Anything good I may have said about Chris Wallace in the past, I take back. Chris Wallace lost this debate, and the American people lost this debate because there was no debate. trump certainly lost it, unless we are counting "wins" as being the candidate able to tell the most lies in an hour and a half. I'll add that if someone could count the amount of time that trump was running his mouth, including the dozens of times he interrupted Joe Biden and talked over him, trump had significantly more time "talking." There was nothing fair about this exercise in futility at all, and the format didn't do Biden any favors. This wasn't a debate. It was a farce.
The debate was a visceral test for Biden because Trump bois really thought Joe was weak, senile and fragile. I'm sure many Americans did not want that style (except for the mouth breathers who wanted some meat at the colliseum), but the Trump frame was there among Americans, so Biden had to jump into it to prove he wasn't an old senile chump. It's okay if Americans thought both sides lost because they lost under Trump's disgusting field. Do Americans want more of the same, or can this low barr **** GTFO already so we can start healing?
