Kat has been in the NBA 5 years name another player who made the leap to become the center piece of a contending team?

What has that 25-12 got him so far?

Thats a lot of ifs without the history to back it up especially with a center who is weak at defense.

He really is not a mystery and the same was said about Wiggins.

Either you have it or you do not after 5 years in the NBA he should have led a team out of the lottery and its interesting that you discount the Tibbs years.

Yep, Harden is a generational player. He has evolved and continue to evolve his game year after year. He’s gonna be relevant as long as he keeps evolving. I’d like to see him more like a 2 guard a la Klay Thompson than a PG going forward... unless we got a viable pnr big like Clint. Please come back Clint.

I see people still dont understand the horrific position we are in.

I am probably the biggest Harden fan alive, and absolutely believed he could be the best player on a championship squad, but we simply aren't in a position to contend anymore and wont be able in the rest of Hardens prime.

The time to move him is now. KAT has flaws but you pair him with CP3 / covington, have a winning culture, and you then give yourself the opportunity to trade the 1st for the next big name available.

    It's a solid plan.

I do not want Chris Paul back at all.

It would be just our luck he pulls a hammy again.

and I’m a firm believer CP3 didn’t get injured because the season was shortened and having Shai G-A and Schroder
lessened the burden of being the point of attack. Less stress.

A Westbrook/CP3 flop would set the Rockets back.....without Harden and bringing in KAT/Richardson.

This is a funkadelic trade proposal going forward. IMHO.

Nobody is trading a big name for this years #1 pick its the weakest draft in some years.

Harden is pretty much guaranteed to lead you to the playoffs, KAT not so much and CP3 came up short once again, KAT already has played with covington and we see how that went.

Why the hell would CP3 want to come back to Houston, you don't think he is bearing a grudge?

I really can't believe people are wanting to build a team around KAT he is trending toward D cousins 2.0.

Why does anybody think KAT and CP# would get along, that pairing is just waiting to end horribly.

If Sergio Llull would just come over, Harden would have his perfect compliment again. At a fraction of that sorry ass contract CP has.

Nobody has to worry about that. LTS is for life and harden is at this dumb owners mercy. Poor guy deserves so much better. 2 years in a row wasted with some of the dumbest moves in history As owner and so will the next 3 years while he’s here

KAT got the talent, but way too soft. After the past few decades of soft superstars, i'm looking for guys with that dog in them. Embiid has the health issues, but i think Embiid has it in him. Get DR34M working with Embiid. Morey might believe Anthony Edwards could be the next James Harden, but if Embiid comes here, and Harden to PHI, why does Minny give up the #1 to us?
**** KAT though. I'll take KAT if he's going to play next to Harden, but not KAT to be our best player and even w/ Harden probably aint winning. So... No thanks.
KAT needs a guy like Lillard as a teammate and leader.

Thats just speculation, nabbing a solid guy, not even a superstar, but someone of the caliber of a Jaylen Brown for Fox is valuable. Dismissing it away as a "weak" draft is problematic. The last "weak" draft ended up being actually quite good.

I don't care about making the playoffs, I care about having upside and right now this team only gets worse. Harden got 1 win further in the playoffs than CP3.

No, I think he is a proffessional.

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, you can flip him for a monstrous haul.

    Pure speculation

    People are still on this?

That ship sailed 5 years ago. Llull is now 32 with declining numbers in the Euroleague because of a ruptured ACL and he'd likely be alot closer to Prigioni than CP3 in the NBA.

    You are too kind

CP3 has been good for 61.75 games in the last four regular seasons on average. The Thunder situation with Shai & Schroder is ideal for CP3.

Everything you wrote here is speculation.

If you don't care about the playoffs why are you trading Harden how is this trade upside when you are trading for 2 guys who playoff records are much worse than Hardens.

Did you really try and pump up Paul by saying Harden only won 1 more game.

How about you look at their total playoff records with Paul having much better teams.

I don't care about 2 -3 more early playoff exits with Harden. There is no more upside.

Yes, you are speaking narratives, I am tired of narratives.

ya having our other superstar who relies on athleticism injured and recovering from COVID, along with our most important role player for the series getting himself ejected from the bubble, those things had nothing to do with it. if you can't win with an injured westbrook and no house then you can't win /s
