In fairness to Chris Wallace, this “open discussion” format is essentially unmanageable when one (or more) debater refuses to let the other person talk. And in terms of human nature, many people are inclined to interrupt when the other side says something they disagree with (especially on contentious politics). What would actually work would be a series of short discussions where each candidate separately speaks their position and responds to their opponents positions.
I don't think it matters if african americans remember, and Trump knows that. A larger part of his base are racists, so it pays for him not to condemn. Trump is trailing the african american vote something like 86-8%.
Good lord. Now Wallace is answering for trump on how trump stands on the environment, because trump simply cannot provide an answer himself. That is not his job!
I imagine that him calling out a white supremacist group, like he knows them, and telling them to “stand by” will live on as well.
At least Joe could try to get his point across- He fumbles enough on his own. Joe just doesnt have a character or a strong enough voice to over-speak and convey a strong message.
Whatever is preventing Biden from going after Trumps family it's a good move. If Biden goes there the media will overact more than if Trump goes after Biden's family. I just want Biden to say something about Barron Trump being tall and watch the world burn, lol.
Hillary couldn’t get African-Americans to get to the ballot box in large numbers. Trumps been trying to use the same tactics to discourage them from voting again, but that statement and non-statement will likely have an affect.
I hope it does. I hope it makes all African Americans go vote. I hope that clip gets played on loop for the next month. It's pretty damning.
