The point is, if you have many changes on a team and no preseason games, u may not look good against the 2 best teams in football. It is not an excuse, but a fact. 2 teams that are basically the same are going to look much better. However, O’Brien offense has not looked good at all, even with the new play caller. We will see what happens.
The texans suck. that's just reality. enough with the gimmick excuses already. before the games were played it was ohh lets see what happens, the texans will be competitive. no way they cover spreads. Then they get smacked both times. Now it's well the schedule has been hard. There's plenty of legitimate reasons why their O/U was only 7.5 wins. They'll be lucky to even hit 7, said that from the beginning. you have 0 difference makers on offense outside of watson, with one of the worst defenses in the league.
You're not wrong. The schedule is hard because we're inferior to the opponents that are on it. I'm just wondering when in BOB's tenure are WE going to be the team that everyone (or at least most) fear?? Because so far, I've seen zero progress in that regard. 7 years ago we would have been slated to go 0-3 with this schedule, and yet, here we are now looking 0-3 in the face. So it begs the question: what exactly has he done to make us better?
It's rational to think this way. I understand. Thankfully there's 16 games in a NFL season. I'm not happy at all with what I'm seeing from the Texans from a disciplined standpoint on the field. Some guys are doing the same wrong things they did last year. I just want to see a game where Houston wins the time of possession and turnover battle.
They seldom run a screen to a running back which is one of the normal ways to slow down a pass rush which is their biggest weakness. It is the one question I would ask BoB if I could.
I think they will hang with Pittsburgh. Houston has played two much stronger teams already, and Pittsburgh didn’t look that great against the Giants or the Broncos. O’Brien will employ his usual conservative game plan to keep things close, and if they don’t turn it over, I think the Texans have a shot. Plus they are desperate. I think they have a decent chance this week.
Doesn't even have to be designed screen... The way our Oline gets repeatedly whipped, just dump it off to Johnson... It's basically the same damn thing..
Don’t worry, they still are in a bad division and have some very winnable out of conference games. They likely will still creep up to beating teams like the Lions, Bengals and Jags to give false hope to idiots that want to believe in this team before getting throttled in the first round.
Not true as the lifetime record vs. the Steelers is 2-4. H 2017/12/25 Houston Texans 6 - Pittsburgh Steelers 34 L A 2014/10/20 Houston Texans 23 - Pittsburgh Steelers 30 L H 2011/10/02 Houston Texans 17 - Pittsburgh Steelers 10 W A 2008/09/07 Houston Texans 17 - Pittsburgh Steelers 38 L H 2005/09/18 Houston Texans 7 - Pittsburgh Steelers 27 L A 2002/12/08 Houston Texans 24 - Pittsburgh Steelers 6 W
The 2002 Victory is still the most IMPROBABLE WIN in the History of the NFL. Texans had 47 yards of total offense, Steelers had 422. Texans had THREE defensive TDs. Texans lost the time of possession by 19 mins and still won by 3 TDs....lol.
week to week game plan is well prepared for the amount of blitzes Pittsburgh will throw. Watch Pittsburgh throw a wrench at that game plan by blitzing just once in the entire half.
