Right. This includes those in the LGBT+ community which this SCOTUS if she's confirmed will not be kind to.

All of this talk of qualifications and historical precedent is ridiculous. ACB won the swimsuit competition for the open seat and now will assume her rightful, lifetime appointment to the bench.

You are hoping that it will be replaced with something that cost less and is better. How will it be replaced? How would it be better and lower premium?

I agree that the DEM should take the loss (they can't block it anyway, so why damage themselves) and focus on winning the 2020 election. Covid, economy, health, highlight the hypocrisy of the right if you want, and all that stuff.

Immediately after RGB passed, there was a surge in DEM base energy and donation (which translate to likely more turnout). Polls before and immediately after indicate more energy on the left vs the right. Today set of polls released show that Trump is still losing badly (i mean, really badly) and there has been no bump at all from this for him. Covid is likely to get worse. The Market is edgy. The debate - we'll have to see.

How big does supreme court issue play? Well, it's looks like to me the Rep is hoping for a fight and I see some example here of posters already playing the victim card, as if they expect or want the DEM to attack her. The Dem should, but solely on the positions, such as on preexisting condition, overturning Roe and a partisan unbalanced court, but keep them relative to other pressing important issues as well.

I saw the recent polling from WaPo that showed Biden losing his lead in Florida and Arizona which is very worrying to me.

I guess this is a better way to discuss the USSC nominee than to consider serious concerns people have about affordable health care, coverage for pre-existing health conditions, and the overturning of Roe v Wade... but, you be you.

I don't think he cares about those issues. He's turning into "own the libs". Sad to see.

I don't follow Florida so much (assumed Trump will win that).

Since RGB death (18th), there are 5 or 6 polls. Two has Trump +1. 4 or 5 has Biden +2 to +11. In past polls that doesn't cover the 18th, Biden was +2 to +9. RCP avg had Biden +4 on the 17th and +3 now. Doesn't look like there was a significant shift.

I think he sincerely doesn't like Trump. His animosity towards libs though overwhelms his distaste for Trump though.

Trump said he's going to come out with his plan and I'm looking forward to seeing it. My premiums doubled when the ACA became law despite Obama's lies of it would reduce premiums up to $1200 a month. All to get 5% of the country healthcare, when they were already getting free healthcare. This was nothing more the govt takeover of healthcare (if you can control people's healthcare you can control them) than actually helping people. In fact you can safely say the ACA hurt the middle class far more than it helped them.

Health care premiums dropped under ACA. Premiums even dropped in 2020 under ACA:

To be fair, at least 500 of those Americans will die soon, so actually only 54,500 new Americans with a pre-existing condition.
