I don't think there is anything you can do to stop the Republicans from ramming this through. It's a stolen seat. Focus on 2020 election and once you are in power do whatever is necessary to undo the harm.

The GOP want the Democrats to fight this to where a nomination isn't successful before the election because this is a huge turnout maker for the GOP base. You can see Biden already slipping in some swing states after RGB passed away and Trump promised a nomination.

Honestly, we need to just accept our losses with the SC now because another 4 more years of Trump is far more devastating. So just let the nomination breeze through without much contention. Don't fall for the bait and make this the biggest issue of the election because that will convince more conservatives to hold their nose and vote for Trump.

 

She had admitted that she makes rulings based on here faith which inherently violates the separation of church and state. She should recuse herself on any issue where her religion is guiding her to make a decision which is many.

Elections general function as agents of change both for the left (The House changing hands) and the right (The POTUS changing hands) You may not like this but this is the way the electorate affects change. I’m a white, straight male in the United States, so assuredly my rights won’t be affected by this nomination. However, I have this strange affliction where I care about the well-being of those who look different from me. I suggest you start doing the same (no matter how old you are) or you’ll just die with a bitter heart. It’s your call but it feels much better to live on a path of righteousness

I’ll be frank. I hate that RBG is being replaced by someone with polar opposite ideology against her dying wish; particularly when the election is practically a month away. It’s beyond reproach ethically for republicans to do this. It’s just absolutely disgraceful by any objective standard of decency. However, I’m conflicted because Merrick Garland was wronged. He should be sitting on the bench and if I’m going to be consistent I have to admit that Trump’s appointee, while sitting as POTUS, should be given a vote. I will be voting on November 3rd with the hopes that my fellow Americans will absolutely torch the current GOP for the level of hypocrisy they’ve demonstrated though

All most people want to do is leave things better for their children than they had it. Some believe in self reliance and capitalism. Others believe govt is the answer to all that ills us and socialism. Which is taking peoples hard earned money and giving it to people who didn't earn it.
