The legendary stuff is saved for LeBron if he wins 4 NBA titles with 3 teams and 4 Finals MVP PLUS 8 consecutive Finals appearances combined with 2 teams. This would also give him 10 Finals appearances combined on 3 teams.
Sooo, where are all the people saying Denver would have wiped the floor with us now? As I see it, Denver also out in 5 games, just like the Rockets and the Blazers. It seems that once again, the combination of Lebron, Lakers and ref bias is nearly impossible to overcome for other teams.
Agreed. we need to keep it real with Denver they needed 7 games to beat a mediocre Spurs team...lost in 7 to a meh Blazers team...should’ve lost in 5 to both Utah and the Clippers, and they lost in 5 to LA credit to them for coming back from 3-1 twice, but they were down by double digits in most of their games this playoff run so sure, they’re fun, and maybe they take a leap and become the future kings of the West, but until then, they’re overrated at the moment
Denver was down 3-1, and down by 10 heading into the 4th quarter of game 5 against freaking Utah...if Utah closes them out, they’re nothing more than a young team that got embarrassed in the 1st round Denver was down 3-1 against the Clippers, and trailed by as many as 16 in game 5, including by 7 heading into the 4th...if everybody’s god in Kawhi and the rest of the Clippers didn’t have 1 of the biggest chokes, Denver is nothing more than a young team that got fodderized then they got fodderized by the Lakers Why is CF already crowning them?
That is my point Dude dropping to their knees for Murray and Jokic I like them and they played well but If in any of our losses we got production like Milsap, Grant and Porter from a third player (hell even a second player) we would probably sill be playing but even with all that. . .they still lost in 5 . . . . Just Like The Rockets Rocket River
Difference is playing style, Adelman’s offense partially, and call it what you want, analyse it to death, but they did come back. Twice! That shows resilience, clutch, no fear. They are young too, little playoff experience and just young in years played together as well as in general. Harden has never had one game like Murray in a do or die game. Ever. I therefore like them better and definitely think they could’ve kicked our ass with versatile bigs and wings. Much brighter future.
I agree with you, Denver still came back from elimination 6 times! I mean who does that? The odds of them doing it 9 was impossible, and I’m sure they were gassed at that point. Their future does look bright but then again with the west so stacked and Golden State coming back next year, this may have been their highlight moment for them.
Fair enough. I'll take being a Nuggets fan over a Rockets fan almost any day though. I'll take playing solid team basketball, smart basketball with a deeper bench than what we've been doing. Their offense is beautiful to watch, with body and ball movement and great passing by Jokic. Ours is like Franchise & Cat ISO mode, waiting for a nice crossover and floater / stepback 3 or coast-to-coast dunk / lay-up.
clippers would have destroyed the Rockets. Rockets are soft and will never win as currently constructed
Jamal Murray >>>>>>>> Harden when it matters most (playoffs). Dude is so clutch compared to Harden it’s maddening. He literally stepped up and increased all his numbers across the board by a significant margin in the playoffs. Had multiple signature games and took over the 4th quarter on several occasions with big time buckets. Murray: Regular season stats 18.5ppg/4rpg/4.8rpg on 46% shooting overall and 35% from three Playoff stats 26.5ppg/4.8apg/6.6rpg on 51% shooting overall and 45% from three. Meanwhile Harden’s points dropped like usual as did most of his other numbers. Also LOL at posters bringing up Denver needing 7 games to beat Utah when we BARELY squeezed by freaking OKC and some rookie named Luguentz Dort made a name off of Harden and gave him all he could handle. Now that was an embarrassing series even though we somehow managed to win. Literally couldn’t have been closer and we nearly blew a 3-1 lead in the process and there’s homers talking about how Denver was down 3-1 and came back to win two series in a row as if it were a bad thing??? So when we do it it’s CLUTCH but when another team does it it’s excuse after excuse and searching for reasons to not be impressed or give props. Some of you homers are so ridiculous. Yeah... we came back from being down 3-1 and won game 7 by 1 point. Good thing PHX chokes and we weren’t “fodderized”.
Typical Craprah response. Pretty sure you’re the closet Lin fan. Can’t seem to keep his name out of your dumb head.
Please keep your word this time and become a nuggets fan. Enjoy them, away from our board. Thank you! PS: Denver lost to the Lakers in 5, no better than us. Enjoy your new team and don't come back!
Why is there even a debate about nuggets vs rockets? The nuggets made the WCF. The rockets the 2nd round. Nuggets stars 25 and 23. Rockets 31 and 31. Rockets team had 2 of the last 3 mvp on their team... With their combine salaries approaching 80 million. It's safe to say their season was a disappointment to the organization. Nuggets a young team led by a 25 yr old jokic and an unproven 23year old Murray whom the nuggets max extended before the season. Not only did the team reach the WCF for the first time in years! They overcame two 3-1 deficits and beat the team that was a favorite to win the title. Furthermore, Murray more than justified being worthy of his extension and showed glimpses of being a star/superstar. There's no comparison between the rockets and nuggets season, not any meaningful ones anyways.
