I don't know what will happen in Pittsburg, but the Texans had the toughest opening games in over 50 years. If you throw in the Steelers, it may be the toughest ever (based on last years record). If you include the Vikings' (last season's record), I think it is the toughest ever.
And? Even if you want to chalk it up and say toughest schedule ever and we where suppose to lose and blah blah. It’s not that we’re losing it’s how we’re losing. It’s how the offense and defense look...not good.
And you are right, they have not look good. I chalk some of that to no preseason games for the new play callers. And, they didn't get to ease their way into things with softer opponents. At the same time, going against the tougher opponents now....may help them in the long run. We shall see.
i'm not sure I can buy that Face --- every other team had the same amount of time to get ready. O'Brien and his staff and the core players have been around for years. Getting a few guys up to speed shouldn't be this difficult or take this long especially when I read they had handpicked some of them for being in the same "system" on other teams. I see how crappy the TExans look, and then I switch over to watch the Patriots who had to implement a completely new playbook and they look like they've been running it for years and the Texans look like they are reinventing the wheel! Im hoping that "easier" games will lead to better football but if these guys cant get up for the good teams then what the heck are they doing over there on Kirby?
