I often talk about drug sentences being a legacy of the crack epidemic. I assume no knock warrants in drug raids are crack epidemic legacy also. When is the last time police had a shootout with drug dealers? When is the last time drug dealers had a shootout with other drug dealers?

I never watched 48 hours but i think they filmed a few episodes in Louisville. It can be a violent place i assume. That being said i have not deen a reason to have police go in a criminal situation guns drawn in a long time. The last time involved international cartel violence.

 

This tweet is misleading. The warrant was definitely a no knock warrant. You can read it and see that it was. The difference is that it was allegedly not executed as a no knock warrant.

 

They also did charge the other cop, Harkinson (sp?) for randomly shooting through the window and into her and other apartments.
