Has anyone noticed the rather surprising and unnatural amount of runs the Yankees have scored the past week, just in time for the playoffs? It reeks.

It is as if they changed game difficulty setting to rookie where they know what every pitch is

If the letter harmless and brings nothing new to light, why is MLB is trying so hard to keep it buried. I kind of understand the principle of it, but that principle would imply that they're fighting to protect their right to hide other things that have already been hidden or could be hidden. Maybe there's more evidence that's buried?

Late to this but I don't have an issue with anything Crane said.

He basically said they should have cheated better, "But the way we were doing it, that was pretty (stupid). I mean, banging on trash cans? You could have found a better way to do it.’’

Translation: I'll condone it and benefit from the behavior as long as you don't get caught and none of this comes back onto me.

Now, we can certainly question his delivery/intent, but the quote can and does come off as pretty tone deaf.

Still don't have any problem with it.

It's not like everybody has not piled on.

No need to play nice now.

I wasn't sure where to put this and it didn't really need its own thread so just put it here:

It's funny how all this conveniently got forgotten.

I didn't even hear about a sealed letter. What is the latest on this sealed letter and why is no one asking about this anymore?

Who cares about letters? Beltran brought it from the Yankees, everyone acknowledges this, they did the same for years prior.

You think Beltran got fired as a manager just because of what he did for 1 year with the Astros?

Well... I'm not so sure about that. I would say a lot of people in the media conveniently ignore that.

Just like Passan and others like to use double standards when it comes to the Red Sox. The Astros "cheated, the Red Sox "bent the rules." Right.

How many Yankee World Series Trophies are just a little bit bigger because their team was roid'd to the gills?

Or...if you want to go back to the 70's and past...tweaked the hell out on amphetamines?

Right!?! It’s blantantly obvious. The action itself is incriminating... maybe that’s why the judge didn’t want to look like a dumb ass and lose his credibility.
