    I been here for months and I have not seen lots of people.

    Most of the people in this thread are Trumpers and they still don't believe.

    A lot of moderate posters months to a year ago thought people like Bill Maher were reaching when he said that Trump isn't going to leave willfully.

    And I understand why. It's too extreme and breaks our norms to a significant degree. But unfortunately it looks like we live in a country were the most fundamental norms such as peaceful transitions are starting to erode.

    Nobody has refuted the fact that Trump would not leave peacefully they and I refuted the facts of him being able to do it mechanically.

    But hey if you need this victory lap go on right ahead.

    Dude I'm not being aggressive and understand why people would be hesitant to go all tin foil and sat Trump is going to overstay is welcome because it's unprecedented. We as citizens have a certain faith in our institutions where we believe this never can happen.

    This is definitely not me going on a "victory lap".

    I created this thread because I genuinely believed he was laying the foundation to contest a loss in 2020 just weeks into his first term based on comments and actions he was taking. It was scary and eye opening to me, and frustrating that other people couldn't see it and instead dismissed it as paranoia or whatnot.

    I've always stated this man is a demagogue and is going to push the limits of how much authoritative power he can take.

    This is what is scary, especially when you hear reports of how Hitler was elected as a right winger who violated more and more norms gradually, which initially shocked folks, but was at first just seen as just him be somewhat without boundaries until he became the Hitler who we all know about.
