I suspect as much as well, the trace amount of thc is actually doing the heavy lifting vs. cbd. Might explain how the 1800mg from the same company wasn't any more effective than their own 300mg (less so!)- maybe the latter happened to sourced from a plant with a touch more trace thc, and the increased CBD isolates didn't matter. I could almost taste it, that it was better. I wonder, if I had the discipline to only microdose dro if it'd be just as effective. Ik it'd be cheaper. Probably would have to ingest. No matter how small a hit from a bat, it's going to be peaky and only get more so going forward.
To bump an old thread. ive been battling depression lately. After a terrible weekend I, with my families encouragement, have reached out to a counselor to try and get my head straight. Anyways I’m still waiting to talk to the doctor but my sister recommended cbd gummies and I tried some. My anxiety is more in check than it has been in two years. I’m still ready to talk to someone but this has been a pleasant surprise from a product that I thought was nothing more than a marketing scheme.
Was there a brand for the gummies? Just curious as it's interesting to know which ones worked, - I also wouldn't mind trying this out some more. Regardless, I hope you feel better and the Dr visit helps out.
I use non-THC lab tested CBD oil nightly and have done so for the better part of 6-7 months. I have an extremely stressful job (who doesn't?) and oftentimes during very stressful periods I would wake up in the middle of the night and start having low-grade anxiety about what was going on at work. Used a legit person (hhmwellnesssolutions) who distributes legit THC free CBD that is lab tested and started using droplets each evening. My anxiety is gone and I am much more relaxed despite the stressful work conditions. So I sleep well and I no longer worry when I am not "in the moment". I can't tell you that it isn't psychosomatic but it works for me. Also my wife has dealt with chronic shoulder inflammation for quite a while (doctor's can't seem to locate the source of pain) and she started on non-THC hemp oil extract a few weeks ago and her shoulder feels fine. I also have a CBD balm that helps with pain and has healed a serious burn better than any balm I have ever used. So I am a fan...but as it is deregulated you need to be careful where you purchase it from as lots of stuff out there isn't legit (which may not matter if it is psychosomatic results anyway!)
A new store opened up near me one of several -- I don't care for CBD it doesn't do anything for me... however this store had a sign for CBD flower. So they had my curiosity and much to my surprise they had little jars of silver haze and other famous strains. Perfect little nugz with a really nice smell -- they call it hemp but it's obviously quality bud that's been placed in some sort of vape box to remove most of the THC. It's like smoking high quality ditch weed -- it provides a nice light buzz I really enjoy. I've been tired of getting bombed out after taking a couple of hits so this is perfect -- unfortunately there is no way this stuff stays legal. The gummies are good too but I only use those for sleep occasionally. I've been buying Just Hemp silver haze -- get it while you can.
In... Houston? Or nah? If you're smoking something you saw out at a CBD store in Tomball, I hate to inform you, that's probably Axe Body Spray. Lulz. Risking Covid to smoke deodorant.
Nah this is a little outside Austin -- if you put the nugs in a bag you could sell it no prob as KB. If you got pulled over with it I expect you would get arrested in the wrong area -- it looks and smells that nice. It's low THC but I'm sure there are plenty of interesting cannabinoids left in the flower.
Last time I did some cbd **** I woke up to a physically in peak condition maga lover guy in my lawn. He was sending me pictures of his creepy baby doll. I just hid in my house until he left.
Have since found out the answers to these questions. Definitely not just the trace THC that is creating effects in these products (and the legal flowers they're derived from). THC effect completely different than the other cannabinoids for good and bad. I've been infusing my own oil from both highCBD/LowNoTHC vs. high THC buds, and most all of the benefits I mentioned in post on previous page are CBD... the appetite, sleeping, calmness but without the giddy confusion of THC high & ensuing immediate appetite spike for junk food. Moreso when smoking high THC buds, but even ingesting thc oil as I've been comparing them, the best way to go is quality high cbd flower, with a little of the other. And no, tiny tokes of high quality herb does not work for me, too peaky and easily repeatable. But ingesting a strong infused oil of the same stuff is much better. Though you do still get the confusion/highness at some point, generally sustained longer, slower up slower down than smoking, can last most of the day, and not so convenient and immediate reward as smoking so no temptation to wake and bake or similar impulse. Especially when combined with high cbd oil, and lately even microdosing psylocibin which gives me more of the "category" of recreational effects I most like to a lesser degree from thc (perception, interestingly weird thoughts, seeing things differently, from a different visual seat in the world, just generally changing how you see and think about things) IF sustainable, which remains to be seen. But afa CBD products including those I summarized on previous page, which this thread is about, would never buy those again. If you're going CBD route, which I will continue to do so going forward at least in part, I recommend buying quality flowers (some are visually indistinguishable from the real thing- sticky crystals, colored strands, you'd only know the difference once consumed). Not for smoking, worthless for that, but simmer in your own oil, really concentrates the cbd effects, and you know exactly what's in it. Can even get by with smalls (nugs), or even trim when cooking it, which are much cheaper per oz. than perfectly manicured buds.
What oil are you using to infuse it with? And are you still doing a separate decarboxylation step like normal prep? I definitely agree with you on doing it this way so you know what you're getting - ie actual flower. Also, if you have access - use a sous vide for all steps.
I had a dream last night about a five inch moth with translucent double rainbow wings that carried the equivalent of 20lbs of LSD in it's stinger. It was flying around in my kitchen and I caught it in a hand towel. I woke up when it stung me. Or did I?
Right now I'm using central market unrefined coconut oil, and soy lecithin (better to use sunflower, but not changing until I'm done with this). Yes I still decarb on it's own first, in a corningware baking dish and lid at 230f for 30 minutes, then mason jar with oil and lecithin in crock pot of water. I also sit jar on silicone rings in there, but haven't found anyone else feels it's necessary. FOr real strong bud, at such a short/low decarb, and only 150F (on high & lid off mine) for 2 hours, freeze, two hours more, I know I'm leaving some THC on the table (can still feel from eating the extracted plant matter), but the alternative, when I left too hot and/or simmering too long results in extreme body/sedative effects- just get stoned and sleepy. I err on the side of not hot & long enough, & just consume the buds too. It seems CBD buds otoh are better to decarb and simmer longer. I've always wanted a sous vide anyway. Can't see any reason why this would have to be a dedicated for this purpose only appliance either, it seems just a wand you immerse, and the product itself in a vacuum sealed plastic of some sort.
