No friends who knew her since day 1? Or was she pretending to be black since childhood? What, she was just extremely lightskin? Yes her parents are white, but she was adopted? I don’t get this. Having a trans guy keep their secret while working for a women's right org would get the same reaction. Some of these chicks had accounts of pulling their fake cards over others to win arguments. On a meta level, totally curious in that pathology. Do they feel more powerful or vindicated in their lie as self worth? Some trans are born with chemicals and mental pathways to have that identity. This is more a learned forgery and while you want to think they had some horrible trauma to make them totally reject their own culture, sometimes it's as simple as I'm a liar and I need a challenge. Overall I think the discussion is minor and even funny. It's incredibly insulting but it's not a social trend. Those who make it out to be open themselves up to suffering needless humiliation. People have pulled big whoppers at work even out of boredom. But if they lie for race over profit that's more mentally depressing? I dunno, feelings are feelings. It's a setback but I'd rather joke about being a victim to Rachel Dolezais after hours than a Bernie Madoff
