Lol at the clown who thinks eating salmon is bad for you. Lol at the person who is still stuck in the 1950's thinking all saturated fats are bad. Must have never heard of MCT's...

Lol at vegans and vegetarians who typically eat a **** load of rice and other filler carbs to get enough calories. Eating white rice is like eating a candy bar.

It's not quite as bad, but white rice is broken down to pure sugar. The carbohydrates it contains are "simple sugars" so it doesn't require much energy for your body to break it down. It's glycemic index is about 73. Honey is 61. Pure glucose is 100 for comparison.

    Interesting.

    I prefer brown rice anyway.

I'm not saying I don't eat it, but most vegetarians I know eat a boat load of rice. I suspect foods like that are the only thing that can keep you consistently satiated with that kind of diet.

Brown rice GI is in the high 60s.

Yeah, rice is cheap and easy.

For protein I do (or rather, my wife makes): beans (mostly black, garbanzo), a tiny bit of nuts, quinoa, broccoli, lentils, sometimes tofu, sometimes potatoes. For filler/snacks I do fruit and carrots/hummus.

Also, the glycemic index of a snickers bar is in the low 40s. White rice is in the low 70s. I realize this isn't the only important information.

If you have more to offer on the subject, please offer it.

Don't call her a cow to her face and maybe buy her some flowers from time to time?

Not really worth debating and there are other things to factor besides glycemic index.

Asian foods use a lot of white rice correct.

Yeah, not gonna happen, nothing he could do unless you want to give a cow a hip replacement, which is not even a thing. It sucks, but what can you do.

Tomorrow I get to lead her over to a brushpile, shoot her in the head, and torch it. Can't watch an animal suffer. I am not excited about this project.

Yes I realize this. That is the specific reason I noted that in a previous post responding to you.

Also, your response seems like a cop out. Need more time to google?

Yes, a lot of asian food in the United States contains rice, less abroad, but still alot. It's also extremely prevalent in a lot of hispanic cuisine, among others. Care to make a point? Bc I think I know the direction you're headed. I'd be happy to explain the reasons if I am remotely correct on your line of reasoning.

    Cop out?

    Wut?

My point is eating white rice is not the same as eating candy bars, that point was very obvious how are you missing it.

Just claim extreme hyperbole and move on.

Also are you really trying to dig at me by the google blast?

    What's wrong with googling?

I mostly think it's annoying that I pointed out the incomplete singularity of GI in the previous response, and you had the audacity of bringing that up again in a direct response.

I also acknowledged hyperbole in a previous post before you jumped in.

I mean geezus is this a press conference and you're Mark Berman?

Also, I apologize. I am extremely annoyed with a lot of things personally at this very moment, and you aren't the first person on here I've been dickish to.

It probably doesn't help that it seems you've been the "well actually" guy to jump in out of context more than once, but I'm just a bit triggered in general, and for that I apologize.
