The clippers I ordered finally arrived in the mail, went ahead and did the zero guard buzz cut. It feels like I need to either do some One Punch Man workout or break out of a prison. On a practical level, any scalp protection tips?
My son rocks the Freak cut too, he hasn't had a cut since February and looks like a treasure troll right now. As for me, I usually get a cut every other week, pretty much a very short high fade, unfortunately when my hair grows longer than about a 3 it goes straight LeBron Spoiler thanks Dad. Haven't had a cut since March so hats and hoodies lol. My beard is my biggest hair issue though. Actually baby-faced myself three weeks ago and I might have to do it again soon, I don't know how Harden does it
I got 2 haircuts after they've opened. Afterwards, the numbers in Texas started spiking and my wife had been cutting my hair every 2 weeks since. She takes about an hour to do it and she's gotten better. So no more paying and tipping for me. I just have to pay in other ways

Do it yourself and practice. You can see and feel what the clippers are doing. Don’t be afraid to screw up, it grows out. Ive gotten to the point where I can give my boys all competent and not terrible haircuts, including my 14-Year-olds undercut.
i tried the 0 on the sides, real good at that... but then I'm stuck with a big ole lump of hair at the top. my head looks like a giant mushroom dick.
Lol You start with the highest guard at the top, then the next shortest a little farther down and blend it up. Then you repeat with the next shortest and blend. The lowest guard is going to be the longest length due to the shape of your head. I do 4-3-2-1 with 1 being the longest top to bottom strip. I also do 7 or 8 on top depending on how long it is.
Wife has given me 4 haircuts I think. She is getting better. Initially she was beating the hell out of me with the clippers because she would slam them into my head with each stroke, but that has gotten better. I don't plan on paying for a haircut ever again.
