So you are for playing JV and McCullers this year since this season still matters.

Not really I mean. I don't consider the season to matter a ton anymore in terms of the playoffs. Sure, we aren't playing Spring Training games, so these games still matter more than compared to that? Otherwise though, get people healthy for next year. We're still in 2nd place and are in the playoffs as of right now but that could quickly change.

You know, Greinke isn't the elite pitcher he was anymore... but I love the guy still lol. Here's a quote from his postgame interview.

“You’ve got to take some of the blame along the way, but I don’t know,” Greinke said. “Maybe the changeup to Betts was one thing I shouldn’t do.”

While overall the regular season is a joke at determining the best team, individual games can still be fun (not last night though) on their own merit. The playoffs should still be legit. Whether Astros win or not, they shouldn't quit on this season. Sure, Astros shouldn't play guys that aren't healthy enough to play, but if JV is healthy and wants to pitch...let him pitch.

If JV is healthy and wants to pitch, I dont think anyone could stop him. :)

Lol, this is true too. I think even if we were to hold JV out, he wouldn't be down for that without a fight.

At least the A's are up in the second game 6-0. That way, they both lose today.

It's better for the Mariners to lose every game. The A's losing doesn't affect us at this point. A's were up 5-1 in the first game.
