*** ESPN. They love talking about the scandal. Has there an inning when they don’t mention about the scandal. Of course they never bother to bring up yanks and Boston.
they did say one inning that dusty baker was awesome and the Astros deserve a fresh start ... at which point they steadily began the **** taking
Looking forward to the day when I can hear the names biagini and sneed and laugh instead of being pissed at the mention of their names
The Good: Springer Dinger! Javier had 5 K and faced 6 batters. Greinke with good defense on the field. The Bad: Only got one run Bats just ice cold today Gurriel and Tucker both sitting before an off day is not smart, slumps be damned. The Ugly: Greinke with easily his worst outing of the year. Five runs, eight hits.
What Javier did tonight is why I have some hope if we make the playoffs. First round you need 3 starters. HOPEFULLY one of them is Verlander. If you go Verlander, Greinke, and Framber then you can slide McCullers, Urqudiy, Garcia and Javier into the pen. If Taylor comes back a bullpen with Pressly, Taylor, McCullers, Paredes, Javier, Garica, Perez, and Scrubb isn't nearly the dumpster fire we have seen all year.
This just isn’t our year. Hopefully Javier and urquidy get some experience in. McCullers finds some health on a lottery ticket or something. JV is back strong next year and we trade for another gem like Cole ended up being. This year is simply a pile of frog sh** that is turning rancid.
Forgot about that, hope it's not too bad. I did remember they said Diaz re-aggravated his hamstring so I didn't include him.
I'm so ****ing glad we won last night. Maybe I'm wrong but it wouldn't have had the same impact had it happened in the second game rather than the first because of the whole thing about it being the first game back since that WS. After the first game everyone kinda moves on with their life I think. Hope we can round up everyone really soon and get healthy, and if **** happens this year, then next year is when we should really start to have some expectations particularly with Yordan returning (hopefully). Hope we can keep Springer.
So the Athletics can do us a solid and win both of the doubleheader games against the Mariners today. With that being said, A's lose both smh...
I'm mixed on winning the first game. It was pretty nice to win, but it seems hollow considering how they've owned us this year. I'm feeling the same though in terms of whatever happens happens. At this point, I say hold JV out until we have a season that matters for us. McCullers too.
Well first two games between the two teams were the first two games of the season and nobody really got going. This time around, half our team is on the IL or just coming back. Even still it'd only be a problem if they can get out of the NL. What happened to them during the comeback was what happened to them in Game 5 of the NLDS last year, basically. Minus the grand slam off Joe Kelly which no everyone seems to forger about. Lmfao
