Not a Cassell or Hammon. Morey will bully those two to keep this insane small ball system and they won’t have the clout to fight back without eventually losing their jobs. JB Bickerstaff part two. We need somebody who has been there before and knows how to deal with ownership and diva players. JVG and Billy Donovan come to mind. Nate McMillan is good too.

If we fire Morey then I am 100% on the Sam “I am” train. He needs to coach a team that gives him the freedom to do it his way. Sadly, Morey runs the system and forces it on the coaches. He even got rid of half if MDA’s staff!!! That’s insulting to a coach. He needs to go, but won’t happen due to his contract.

Daryl has got to go we need new management and a new vision. That will right the Organization. This regime has ran its course I like the idea about Billups as Gm and Van Gundy as Coach

I don't think any head coach can fill the vacuum of leadership in the locker room and on the floor. It's just a fundamentally flawed team with a super talented star player who has glaring deficiencies in important areas of leadership and intangibles. Harden needs to play with a star level player who can take the leadership reins and let James be James, all aloof and strangely passive at inopportune times.

Neither of those guys will make a difference. Especially Billy Donovan. Terrible, just terrible choices.

What has JVG or Donovan accomplished?
    Donovan had KD
    JVG had Yao

    PPPHHHTTTT

Nate is interesting but Cassell is better

Harden & Westbrook are at opposite ends of the spectrum of what is needed by a head coach. If one is coached to full potential he will loose the other. The easiest thing to do is get rid of Westbrook and move forward with one vision. Harden step aside and let Westbrook find success at his expense. MDA also changed to accommodate Westbrook. Then Westbrook said he was lost and just running around. MDA is gone and the next coach probably won’t be as good as him. Westbrook needs a new home so we can get the best fit of a coach going forward.

If we're going to bring a retread coach, why don't we look for one who at least actually got a team to the conference finals?

Or at least has a winning record in the playoffs?

Or at least seems to know what he's doing?

A new coach will be a good thing for this team, BUT in my opinion that won’t matter if we can’t make tweaks to the roster. If a new coach comes in with a system revolving around ball and player movement we need players that we can trust to make the right play with the ball. We need more players that can attack and make the next play. If PJ is still a starter at PF, we have to have Covington at SF and a new C that is a decent to good player. I love PJs hustle but man we can’t have a PF who is undersized and can ONLY shoot from two spots on the floor (if he is wide open). We need a F that can create his own shot and playmake below the FT line to offset James and Russ up top. Maybe we buy a 2nd round pick this year to get some new talent.

So looks like we have something to look forward to this summer.

Morey is a good GM, not great. His vision is limited, because of his lack of college and professional basketball exposure.

How about the Van Gundy brothers? A two headed monster. The first co-op head coach(es) in history.
