He did more than that. Still, he didn't do enouh, that much is clear. You have to give credit where its due, I understand winning rings is the ultimate goal but he ran top 5 teams here and in Phoenix, he has a great resume and will get hired for sure. He's a good coach, yeah. Good is fair. People that act like he can't coach at all though are overexaggerating by a lot.
can't wait for the next coach that comes in with this same exact roster and continue to get worse. all these people blaming MDA is pretty funny. more crying and complaining incoming its scapegoat season once again. MDA was the first step which was easily foreseen. loved how people posted the morey bringing back mda is a priority. Nah he doesn't make the decisions here.
I wouldn’t mind that if we can’t get pop or jay wright or someone like that and going with Silas/Gentry pairing.
Damn, its really hard for some of you guys to be respectful when someone leaves huh. I know Mike has his flaws but we did have a lot of success here.
I hope the organization has at least taken something from their Lakers beating and stop playing gimmick ball, we'll see though.
This is what he said yesterday: "We've got a great organization, great city, great fans, team's great," D'Antoni said. "I mean, everything's good here. We'll see what happens, but I couldn't ask for a better situation. I had four years. Hopefully it keeps going, but you just never know. But everything is good on this side, for sure. Who is lying?
Apparently the Athletic reported that Westbrook called off plays to get himself into rhythm... should have benched him for all that recklessness.
Had a good run but MDA is just always going to be MDA. Some players owe him a lot of gratitude but he’s just one of those coaches who cannot adjust his style of play, and when the offense doesn’t click, his teams get helpless quick. The truly great coaches never have that problem. He exceeded my expectations though and overall seems like a great guy. Thanks Mike. I think we should give him a standing ovation the first time he’s back at the TC. But I won’t cry about him leaving for one second.
