Is this the "you cant fire me, I quit" equivalent?

I would think he wanted to get out front on the story. I'm pretty sure he was given an indication that it wasn't going to work out.

Thank you for everything Mike. We should have won a couple rings while you were here but we've had unfortunate circumstances. You're a great basketball mind.

    Woj Bombbbb

In typical Morey fashion, we will reacquire him years later for a boat load of assets and/or cash like we did for Aaron Brooks, Jeremy Lin, Robert Covington, etc.

I heard the Pacers were interested in him. I feel bad for their young players if he gets hired.

good choice MDA. get out from this trash owner and terrible players he gave you that set you up for failure from the start

he'll get another job immediately. Should be a great fit for the pacers who are their #1 choice

He had a good run, far, far better than I anticipated when we hired him. Probably the second most successful coach in franchise history.

But he had a very, very poor showing in the playoffs. Vogel coached circles around him.

That's fine. Good coach, not good enough to get a team over the hump ultimately.

Rockets need a head strong coach going forward. Not another 'players' coach.

yep and they dont have anyone on their roster as good as harden or nash to cover his warts, so im expecting a knicks and lakers type showing for mike at his next stop

YES! He has proven his coaching can't win in the playoffs.

The Rockets need a new system. I don't mind shooting a high volume of 3s, but don't ignore the mid range game anymore.

if a good coach is just giving a star player the ball and make him make decisions i guess mark jackson and kevin mchale were good coaches too

Donovan outcoached him too, if it weren't for a few timely plays we're out in the first round.
