Nice job... the reporter gave the trump spokesperson a chance to answer the question... the guy tried to BS his way without answering, the reporter called him on it, then guy tried to divert to attacking the media, and the reporter shut him down. The media only needs to report... and not simply spread the lies.
U.S. Could Have Saved Thousands Of Lives If Lockdown Started Earlier, Study Finds A new analysis from Columbia University finds nearly 36,000 fewer people would have died if social distancing measures had been put in place across the U.S. just one week earlier. https://www.npr.org/2020/05/21/8599...lives-if-lockdown-started-earlier-study-finds 1 week? what about 1 month!?!
Even if there was quality leadership from Trump on dealing with the start of the pandemic, the bulk of the responsibility for implementing a pandemic plan falls on the shoulders of the state governors. FLA, GA and TX still could still have behaved badly. More likely than not. given the empty headed leadership in those states.
Have you noticed it's those same Governors allowing thousands of fans in the stands at NFL games? All 7 teams are in Republican states of Florida, TX, Ohio, and Missouri.
Essentially Trump has so far killed in excess of 100,000 Americans and destroyed the economy but his brainwashed followers do not realize it.
I disagree. Trump's existing base right now is dug in and are loyal to him no matter what. If he told them to wear masks, practice social distancing, cut out the conspiratorial tweets and to listen to the experts, we would all be better off for it.

True and my own opinion has been that even with a different President we still might've seen a high death toll compared to other countries. This is why a pandemic is the worst disasters that our country could face and one that we are the least equipped to handle as it requires something we don't do well. Society wide discipline over a long period of time. That doesn't excuse Trump though. He is still President and still could've done more setting the national direction. Collaborating with the governors instead of arguing and undermining them. Using his bully pulpit to encourage things like mask wearing, social distance and taking this seriously. Instead he did the opposite even though he knew full well how bad this could be.
