A come-from-behind win in Dodger Stadium like the good old days. A little oasis in the current desert that is Houston pro sports. Feels nice.
The Good: For once our bullpen blanks our opponent! Team effort! Loved seeing everyone do their part. They would not quit! Finally nice to see the Astros we've been used to return. Unlike the last 2 weeks or so, the team actually CARES about the game. Smoltz is as good as we can possibly hope for from a national broadcaster. The Bad: Valdez gave the Dodgers a big lead off a few mistakes. Two hits off Castellanos not pretty. But struck out the side without damage so all good. Pressly with some bad pitches, but a double play and strikeout saved him. Tucker 0-5 with a Silver Sombrero not good. Only Astro w/o a hit. But at least he's figured it out. The Ugly: Nothing ugly about beating the Dodgers in THEIR house!
Well damn, I checked out on Houston sports about an hour ago. Tuned back in time to see the last out.
Next time yall want to complain about them a bit, remember this game: Diaz and Reddick had b2b great ABs that made that inning.
Obviously pro teams do NOT represent the city they play in the way College teams represent their school, but God I HATE Los Angeles. Overrated as f***, and way too dirty, overcrowded, overpopulated, etc. Don’t see why it’s so appealing to everyone.
