With cp3 and capella yea we have a good chance. Our biggest knock was cp was injured most of the season and Jim went into iso mode too much into the post season. Also minus Ariza who we shoulda worked harder to replace. We pretty much have the 65 win team

You keep saying 2018 like it’s a mythical year. The only difference was ariza (big I know) magnified by the events that took place. Harden was on a crazy scoring stretch but it really killled **** when Paul came back. They didn’t play like 18’ because of that. Look at Paul this post season lol. it’s the whole being greater than the sum of the parts and in our Case actually being less of this year
Lakers will get stomped by an East team if they make it that far, and people will realize that if Houston had not made drastic changes, they would have won a championship. Right now the Lakers look a lot better than they are since we just got destroyed by them. This Lakers team is not that good. We went to 7 games with an OKC team that had an identical regular season record as us with CP3 as their best player. Either we suck or CP3 would have been a difference maker.
Sum being greater than its parts is a flawed philosophy. If you want to win you need to actually pay great pieces. Be great without having to play over your head. We will not win a title ducking the tax. CP3 was only good on the thunder because his usage was so low. On this team he would be required to do more which would cause him to gas out and incease his injury risk.
It might but I'm not so sure. CP3 might not have turned the ball over but it doesn't change the overall problems with lack of game to game adjustments.
You are annoying. Chris Paul sucked here last year. He has a history of getting hurt in the playoffs. He’s at the end of his career. I’m glad he felt he had something to prove this year, but it would have been nice if he had felt that way when he played for the Rockets. If you could guarantee that he would be healthy, not many people would prefer him over Westbrook.
