We still could have won it that year if we could just make a basket... any basket. We played some of our best defense that series, even without CP3 in game 7.
why are you talking anything other than right now? none of that matters. Is harden the biggest problem right now. nope. Is he even close to being the biggest problem. nope cf's conlusion: move harden off the ball, problem solved. awesome logic
Aside from MDA....He is since he is the one skilled enough to do something about it. WB ain't gonna learn to shot by the end of tonight, but Harden knows how to play off ball with WB because they did it OKC.....
apparently, some of you have the false impression harden is God. he can overcome everything at all costs. Sorry but harden is human. breaking news what does okc have to do with any of this. Its 2020. wb can't shoot at all. he never has been able to. tell us something we don't know
Exactly. The one year we gave Harden a proper co star and a legit compliment of rotation players we could have won. We were an outstanding offense and defense, This is the one formula that nearly worked over Hardens career in Houston. It’s the only formula that is ever going to work. We did not follow that formula this season. Westbrook is a garbage co star and the rest of the team is extremely flimsy out side like 3-4 guys. I will say it again. Harden is not blameless and you can talk for days about things he could be doing better, but this season it wouldn’t matter. We didn’t follow the formula. This is an extremely weak team. And when you are paying a guy 40 million. Taking up that huge of a cap chunk. And he is playing this poorly? No chance.
You misunderstand me... we had an opportunity to win that game but we decided to stick with this dogmatic system where we relied on 3s and driving to the basket. You can blame the refs all you want, but the bottom line is we couldn't score with a generational offensive talent.
LOL..... more hyperbole.... Now Harden needs to be god to change things up a little... to help his buddy WB out..... like he did at OKC....
how ironic because that's basically what some of yall think harden has to do. he has to be harden and at the same time also pick up the garbage of like 4-5 other players at the bottom, including a $40 million fake robin who's at the very bottom. LOL hilarious to me the level of ymca gimmicks that are supposedly rockets basketball problem solvers
Again.... let's see it so we can at least check it off the list. What else can Harden do to help a non shooting, playmaking guard?
cf's debate: harden is outperforming every single player by outrageous margins. Fact cf's debate answer: move off ball. It will solve everything LMFAO #hardensfault /debate
LOL. Yes... move off ball some of the time to help your buddy WB out.....But hey..... we sure as hell don't know the results of not moving off the ball with WB. LMFAO.....
So what's your plan? To continue doing something that's proven to fail? Potential failure is a better prospect than guaranteed failure.
So the one year we had the right tools to best execute the plan. We have the best record in franchise history. We are up 3-2 against the favorite in WCF when the 2nd most critical tool to execute the plan goes down. The one guy we let shoot midrange jumpers. The one guy who was really really really good at making mid range jumpers. The guy who represented our “other” option to deviate from the system. THAT guy goes down. And things go to ****. And you want to act like the plan was so obviously flawed. We saw the blueprint that season. A co star and rotation that legitimately can take the load off Harden. This season and the playoffs we have seen the minutes where Harden sits to be an abject disaster. The year we had a legit costar and rotation our minutes without Harden were overwhelmingly positive. I actually believe that 1st season the Chris Paul bench mob minutes had a HIGHER net rating than our Paul and Harden minutes. Again. Harden isn’t blameless on the court. But we have seen that he can be the lead guy with the right pieces. This is likely going to be his best postseason in Houston and it’s not looking to end well. His teammates have been terrible outside of 3-4 guys. And one of them got sent home. We will never know exactly how much blame he deserves for making this trade happen but whatever part big or small. THAT is what you guys should be killing him for. Because it ruined any chance we had at executing the system correctly. We no longer could play an essential big man because defenses now had TWO guys they could play off of to harass Harden. We swapped a deadly efficient change of pace offensive option for the most inefficient wreckless “star” the game has ever seen.
The plan was not to get a dumb player who doesn’t fit to begin with. It was doomed from the beginning and all year the mo was to do everything they can to make a the square peg fit. this is a foreign language for some of you. It’s a shock wb is like this. It shouldnt be. People were told from the very beginning. A lot of guys need to play better. In fact massively better before crying about something like off ball harden. Changes like that mean absolutely nothing when you look at the roster and the production harden’s getting outside himself. There isn’t a single player on the planet you can replace harden with and defense’s won’t play the same way. Look at every single team that is left in the playoffs. There best player has at least one robin absolutely dominating games. Now look at harden. Who in the world is helping him at that level. This isn’t hard to figure out. But hey move off ball harden
Look at every single team that is left in the playoffs. There best player has at least one robin absolutely dominating games. Now look at harden. Who in the world is helping him at that level. It isn’t remotely close. RoCo and Tuck are doing what they can. Let that sink in a bit. This isn’t hard to figure out. But hey move off ball harden.
Again, what's your plan? Because, unless you have a time machine, lamenting about stupid trades won't help us tonight. Also, Westbrook wasn't a Morey trade. It was a Harden/Tillman move. So maybe Harden is responsible for more of the blame than you think.
The rockets are done. There is no helping them at this point. They’ve quit already anyway. i already know the breakdown of the trade get players that actually fit. You can start with that plan. Until then it doesn’t matter what you do
Then why are you getting so triggered by fans wanting Harden to move off-ball? No one fits with Harden. Haven't you realized that by now? After Dwight and CP3, no stars will want to play with him unless they're grossly overpaid (like CP3 was). Harden is the worst kind of Batman.....a regular season Batman who regresses into a postseason Robin.
