anyone listen to the new New Order cd yet? its actually pretty good. ------------------ We will ball.
Wow, I didn't even know they had a new one out... must go listen to it. Is it a lot like their 80's stuff or have they changed? ------------------ "Colson makes a mockery of the PG position. It's like he's out there playing 1 on 9." -- pippendagimp with some candid player evaluations.
they had a song featured in a commercial recently but i forgot what the ad was for. on the bottom of the screen it said Music: New Order and the song title. ------------------
I've only heard "Crystal", "60 Miles An Hour", and "Turn My Way". The rest of the CD is gonna have to wait though...I'm on 56k. So far its sounds really good. What's the release date in the US? New Order fans are gonna love the new work. I just hope they're as successful as DM and U2 in the US. If you're looking for the New Order shirt that they're selling at the Area Festival go to www.bluecatstore.com ------------------ Get Ready

New Order fans, Do you think I should order the CD from the UK? It comes out August 27th over there. It's $30 including shipping. That's hella expensive, but we've been waiting for a long time! I can't wait anymore. GET READY
When you make the Tower Records billboard, you know you made it in the states. I wish I had a digital camera. Get your copy of Get Ready at 12:00 am 10/16/01 at Tower Records. NME (8/18/01, p.45) - 8 out of 10 - "...Sit back and enjoy. They're bringing you a love that's true....There are few bands that have the natural panache to mix the intuitively brilliant and the heroically clueless quite like New Order..." CMJ (10/1/01, p.4) - "...It's refreshing that such an influential band can maintain both quality 'and' relevance..."
The very first compact disk I ever owned/bought (actually, the first two) was Substance. I'll have to give this a try.
Funny thing is Substance was the first cassette tape I ever owned. I only have part one though. It saved me from the MC Hammer/Vanilla Ice/New Kids on the Block phenomena of the early 90's and for that I am grateful. I didn't know who New Order was but my sis told me to get it. True Faith just blew me away.
You need to get the CD, because even though Part 2 are the re-mixes and b-sides, there are some killer tracks like The Beach (re-mix of Blue Monday) and Kiss of Death (re-mix of Perfect Kiss). I actually have this double CD in my car, right now. I wouldn't go anywhere without it!
Pole... My first cd(s) was DM 101. My second was Substance. Gotta love old school new wave. I don't remember the last time I popped in Substance.
Is 101 live cd's? A friend let me listen to what he called 101 and they were live recordings from the Rose Bowl. It could have been bootlegs from the tour, but they sounded professional.
