Kev O one of the few people in the media that watches and likes Houston, is pretty frustrated. It's Harden being stubborn as hell and MDA not willing to just do something else. There is no reason a double team should end his season every year..

Why I havent trusted Harden since that spurs game 5 and 6 he is unwilling to just hoop.

pretty obvious youre going to suck when you have a team whose supposedly 2nd best player doesn't fit.

It's scapegoat time once again ladies and gentlemen. And people are going to be fooled into thinking so and so fixes the issue.

let us know when someone at the bottom starts being at the very least decent. This graphic is disgusting.

When he gets that look on his face I don’t know whether to throw my damn remote or cry. And we know the look. All of us that have suffered through this era saw 3 minutes in what harden we were getting.

All that talent and just doesn’t have the heart

That doesn’t mean you quit! The issue is not losing this series.. that’s not his fault. But just quitting is sad. Especially when you guys want to see he’s a better scorer than all of the greats you guys love to compare him to in the regular season

case in point. people that think harden quit are naive and ignore or really can't see what the root of the problem is. The rockets quit last night but harden is one of the last to blame for that.

Well anyone who knows anything about basketball knows MDA is trash.

I quit posting about it over a year ago. Last years series sealed it.

Multiple former players have already said D’Antoni literally doesn’t know or coach defense, doesn’t make specific game plans(his philosophy is we’ll do what we do better), and doesn’t trust role players so his rotation is suicide.

Multiple. Former. Players. Add in the fact that he literally doesn’t coach Harden and has admitted he lets him do what he wants, and he probably has put in the least effort with the second most talent the past 4 years.

D’Antoni’s supposed offensive genius is based on spamming pick and rolls and doing away with big men.

Lol. People are so dumb when it comes to this stuff.

How do you know he hasnt chaned? Did you not see the defense we played the first round? Dude's are gassed. You are just assuming he's doing nothing in the coach's room because you hate the guy. The only thing we've seen that you can confirm is his short rotations and that's what you can actually complain about. Either way if we lose....he's likely gonna be fired. So you'll get your wish and we'll see how well this "coached" team would do.

They've got a point about the entire team being built around Harden. When the opposition finds a way to neutralize him and put pressure on the other guys to make quick decisions, those other guys falter because they're unaccustomed to doing much other than catch 'n' shoot.

Going forward, whoever our next coach is must find a way to have a more total-team approach offensively.

Well if you base off what he says to the media, he's proud of not making adjustments and sticking to their shtick.

He's totally adjusted his style for this Houston team, he himself doesnt like iso ball. It wasnt his decision to go small but he did make it work(and was on board with it). He made an adjustment last night playing 4 guards and we came back in the game. You guys act like you see everything but you dont.

    D’Antoni has defensive coaches.

D’Antoni has admitted this already. He does not coach defense. He does not get that credit.

And anyway he fundamentally handicapped the defense by going all-in on a no-big man philosophy.

The fact that they are gassed is on him because genius doesn’t believe this would’ve happened lol.

Actually think about this. Even when he had bigs in PHX, and LA, and NY, he played tiny rotations.

the guy makes Robert Covington a center and still does it.

He has no case for being a good coach.

Running Harden ISO’s a game and couple dribble hand offs from Tucker and calling it a day.

It’s not even just this idiots use of the team, it’s what he didn’t use.

he stopped ruining plays for Chris Paul after one year which is where the problems came from, never used Nene as a dribble hand off big and Nene has real skill.

Never ran a set like pistol action for CP3 last year to get him going in the PNR.

    just a chaotic nonsense offense.

Once teams switched every pnr in 2018, he quit any innovation. Spam ISO’s and that’s it.

the dude is literally a bare minimum minded guy. he has the mentality of a lazy person.
Simplify everything as best you can.

Spam ISO’s, play the minimum amount of players, eliminate all diversity of skill sets and playstyles(no bigs, no ballhandlers).

    don’t coach defense.

don’t coach your best player, let him “figure it out”.

the ONLY reason all of this is accepted as competence is because he actually has the job.

meaning, if an ABSOLUTE IDIOT got elected president, he would get the respect of a president.
Even if he’s not presidential. Same applies here. Stop looking at that stupid job title. He stinks, and it’s OBVIOUS.

don’t you ever get the feeling the rockets just don’t have the same crispness on the court as other teams around the nba? The same fundamentals? The same sense of high-level strategy? You should if you dont

boiling it down, D’Antoni is an arrogant dolt who sees everything as a blunt object. No nuance, no finesse.

Lol playing 4 guards is doubling down dude. Teams often get back into games from a result of the opposing team stepping off the gas peddle. That's what we saw in our false hope comeback.

It isnt scapegoat time. I really hate whenever someone says Harden needs to do something else someone talks about how his team is garbage.

Harden refuses to do anything off ball and Harden refuses to take anything that isn't a 3 or layup When his team is not performing. I have a problem with that. ITS A TEAM!

When CP3 could no longer beat his man of the dribble, Harden elected to not help, and left CP3 to die because he was already doing too much. It's happening again. I just dont get it.

The Idea that Harden shouldn't have to do too much for his team really escapes me. Do what ever you can for the team.

And it worked lol. You say that, but we did get back into the game. You'll see next game if it was really a fluke or not.

It didn't work because of Dantoni. It worked because the Lakers knew they had the game in the bag and eased off on their defensive intensify.
