Nothing, there is nothing conceivably wrong in terms of COVID for letting someone who works inside the bubble and tests you to come into your hotel room. The NBA just needs a time span of a max equivalent of 5 games to make this same ruling. Ridiculous

Wasn't House pissed about his performance in last season's playoffs? And, here he is letting us down again. He's a key part of our rotation. We're a man down without him and that wears on the rest of the team. Whatever the reason he is out, it better be good.

 

If this was a league contracted tester, in there for that purpose, against league rules, then the league will look awful and House shouldn’t be blamed.

Danuel House is an idiot for inviting her into his room with all the restrictions in place, but one of the NBA’s COVID-19 testing officials should know better, too. Plus, considering her position, she should be following best practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19, anyway. Otherwise, the NBA would have fired her.

In conclusion, House made a stupid decision, but the NBA better clear him before tonight’s game 4. If not, they can go to hell.

 

Agreed, but now that we know it was a league COVID-19 testing official, that changes the dynamic. House was still dumb for inviting her to his room, but she knew better than to accept the overture, too. Also, I would hope one of the leagues COVID-19 testing officials would be following all safety guidelines to not contract the virus. Otherwise, she should be fired.

Either way, House should be cleared before tonight’s game. Will he? Who knows.

 

Every NBA player knew the rules before they agreed to play in a bubble. Those rules included no close personal contact with non-family members, or teammates/coaches/trainers, etc. If House didn’t like those rules, he could have opted out from the beginning. Therefore, House absolutely deserves blame for choosing to break league-wide safety protocol in the middle of a Rockets’ playoff series.

doesn't really matter how relatable it is. What rich athlete wouldn't try to get laid as much as possible? But the league has to maintain safety during this unprecedented time. Even if they both test negative and the players aren't tripping, the league has to maintain an image to the rest of the country that they're not potentially exposing their players to Covid.
