Clutchfans Game Thread: Lakers @ Rockets 9/8/2020 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 3)

I wasn't real worried after the last loss but today has me shook. Goddamnit

 

LA is tough man. I really don’t see anyone beating them in a series. Especially with how AD and LBJ are playing.

 

NBA not letting both 1 seeds lose in the 2nd round man.

 

harden with 7 shots in the second half. Just unacceptable.

this team shooting all 2s down in the 4th. Just unacceptable.

Worst execution in a quarter ive seen. Just abysmal

 

Lakers just took it to another level, Rockets folded. Lebron broke them, people want to blame this player or that but we actually missed a center tonight. Lebron knows he can get layups whenever he wants on this team.

this is why +/- is a useless stat.

 

Would be cool if we had a center.

No way the lakers role player's better than ours, we need our guys to step up.

 

anthony davis is the biggest injury diva in the nba. His whole career he acts like hes in agony and then stays in game or he leaves and starts next game fine.

 

Can tyson still play. If he can low post defend; then we have to double.

 

This is not the first round.

 

Rondo ain't washed up. He's still got it. That's 2 games in a row he's turned the game in their favor. We have 3 SGs and nobody to really control the tempo. Unbelievable.

Don't let Russ' stats fool you. He didn't play well at all. He wasn't boxing out. He was picking up his dribble and turning the ball over.

 

Not guarding the 3 is how they took over.... two threes from rondo and one from caruso.

That play with about 45 seconds left. Harden drove it to the hole, then retreated and sunk a 3 over Davis. If Harden literally had that intensity for more plays we would never lose. I don’t F’n get it. I’m not saying keep that energy all game. But we’re down 4 in the fourth and he’s just lazying around, so casual. And it’s contagious. All our players did it.

We don’t stand a chance, even though the match up favours us, simply because we don’t have a championship mentality. Not even a little bit.

 

This is why you don't trade a smart player that can shoot for a dumb player..... westbrook trying hero ball at the end is just too late. Especially when 3's are the quickest way to dwindle that lead. James looks tired and pissed. It wouldn't surprise me if james demands a trade to miami at the end of this season or demands westbrook get traded.

 

I think I'll go to bed now.
