Clearly this person and you aren't familiar with Eisenhower's famous military industrial complex speech. In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.
Trump bragged about increasing the defense budget to historic level and selling a mega amount of military weapons and planes to the Saudi.
We’re familiar with it. Particularly so when Dick Cheney went from Secretary of Defense to head of Halliburton to Vice President to lying about the war in Iraq.
Not only is Trump sowing racial division within the nation. He also trying sow division within the ranks of military. Think about it for one minute. The bootlickers of Trump will defend him at all costs though. Even if it destroys the very institutions that keep America safe. This is not only sad but very dangerous.
Me? I have no personal information one way or the other. However as a 'political' event, I do love the irony and I am encouraged by the damage done. #1 when you are a sociopathic liar and a plausible story engulfs you there is no way to 'truth' your way out of it. No one believes anything you say, especially when the story is right on character. #2 inference, innuendo and outright lying have been the GOP SOP since Nixon and the Southern Strategy. I personally watched the Swift Boating of John Kerry so I have little sympathy for Trump. As character assassinations go, the injustice over Kerry's actions under duress as a twenty-something was massively worse than anything sayable about Trump. He's a full grown 74 year old man with a 50 year history of disparaging remarks about anything that doesn't aggrandize him. True or not is not my job on this one. If it isn't true I don't care. So defend away, but I think you're stuck with a tar baby. I find it hilarious.
@bigtexxx is fake poster with unserious, frivolous, insignificant opinions. @bigtexxx Am I doing it right?
Yes. Just more flagrant hypocrisy to try to claim the mantle of Eisenhower from the person who not only bragged about increasing the defense budget but also did an end run around Congress to sell weapons to the Saudis. Let's also not forget that as part of MIC is now Trump Resorts since this administration has redirecting military personal to stay at Trump Resorts.
Its not dangerous at all. Now zero chance that he colludes with some active or retired generals and starts a military coup after he loses the elections citing "election fraud" or whatever. Also even less voters for him and the elections are coming. If anything you should wish that more of these come to light so he is thrown away in November.
