Yes, he's still all there with feelings and smarts. Far from what's portraited of him, as a person that is mentally not capable. Just take some time and listen to him talk at length, instead of reading description of him or watching small snippets and I'm pretty sure you can see he's all there. In an era of "fake news", if you are not sure, go and find out for yourself. Don't just accept and don't be duped.
Just my observations. First, I don’t agree with the President but the reality is that in the time of war the rich and established do exploit the young and poor, sending them to die overseas. So while I don’t think think the President meant it this way, in a sense there is nothing in it for soldiers in many cases. Propaganda is used to get the young to enlist and the draft is used to force the young to fight and die. Second, ultimately most people do not give a **** about vets. People don’t want to pay the cost to give vets quality lives. The VA is a mess and many of the homeless that people curse are vets. Third all the pomp of “thank you for your service” and “proud of our soldiers” and “honor” is crap said as a formality and as a way for people to say “better you than me”. Trump was right saying Americans wouldn’t want to see injured vets because then this all becomes real and uncomfortable. People may feel a level of culpability and we cannot have that. So at the end of the day it is nasty in many cases. If people want to care about the veterans show it, don’t say empty platitudes.
Wow, I thought people actually meant that when they said it to me in the past. Actually, I do believe there are people that don't say those words as crap. I would hope so anyway.

even if this story is true i dont believe that it would matter at all to his supporters. he could come out and publicly say "f*** the dead troops" and he would not lose any support at all. they have shown time and time again that they put trump above everything else including the troops, our country, the constitution, basic human decency and the rule of law. if anything, trumps supporters would just follow his lead and start openly calling POWs and KIAs losers. im not ready to totally buy into this story, but the fact that its even plausible that he said these horrible things (which it definitely is) is pretty sad. and the fact that john kelly has not refuted any of these stories yet is telling. as much as they hate each other, i would think that if it was false then kelly would have already publicly said so.
Taking a page from the GOP playbook, you don't have to buy it, it doesn't have to be true if it serves your purpose. Just say it, print it repeat it until it doesn't matter what the truth is, it becomes the perception.
