    TNT > ESPN

    "It happened

TNT is the Fox News of NBA broadcasting. No substance. Sorry Tinman i have to disagree. I know everyone loves TNT, they are funny but none of them are good analysts

But Nash got hired because Kevin Durant wanted him.
That's the real answer. It's not politics.

Same reason why McHale got fired, Harden didn't like him.

What is strange is that Stephen A Smith is an admitted Knicks fans but doesn't say anything about Tom Thibbs getting the job. He's white as cocaine. Seems to me like this is a 'NARRATIVE' for ratings

he's yelling it , so it has to be what he really thinks right?

Stephen A Smith makes $10 million a year and First Take is his show
Did he interview Black candidates to replace Skip Bayless before picking Max Kellerman as his co host?

If you're in the mainstream media right now you have to get your social justice credits.

I think it's not useful to focus on an isolated case as "an example of white privilege". Because it's always possibly to explain any single case. It's not like Nash is unqualified to be a head coach just because he doesn't have coaching experience.

The more interesting question to me is whether the percentage of non-white head coaches is roughly similar to the percentage of non-white assistant coaches. If it turns out that head coaches are much more likely to be white than assistant coaches, that's much stronger evidence of "white privilege" for head coaching hires than any isolated case.

    Stephen A brought it up.
I think most fans understood that KD and Kryie had a decision in this

SAS said last week that only americans are white.

Nash is canadian so not white so he doesn't have any white priviledge.

He is saying so much bullshit he can't keep up with his own theories.

Ya that's that thing, Nash was hired by 2 black people, so he's really accusing KD/Kyrie in this situation

ESPN halftimes and post shows are extremely depressing. Plus they have Doris Burke... They are very lucky to have JVG and Breen.

I legitimately look forward to the TNT halftime/post shows, people can talk all the trash they want, Chuck, Shaq, Ernie, and Kenny are very fun to watch for me.

TNT guys at least seem “real.” They may be idiots, but they don’t seem any different from what they are in regular life...makes it easier to digest.

ESPN just seems fake. Everyone on there is trying too hard to create personalities, instead of just being themselves. Seems forced as hell. That’s what makes JVG so refreshing, he’s just himself.

Will Cain comes across as a real authentic douche, but yeah, ESPN hacks crank up the scripted douchiness and treat "conflicts" that result from it as shouty ratings grabbers.

FWIW McHale didn’t get fired because Harden didn’t like him. Alexander wanted him gone. Alexander no longer enjoyed watching his own team play and he had thrown a party to watch the Rockets with his friends... the Rockets effort and performance was terrible, and that was the last straw. He called Morey that night after his guests left the party and the decision was made. McHale was angry Morey didn’t fight harder for him.

SAS is outdated and ignorant. He is also quite sexist. This is the same guy that supported ESPN firing his colleagues so ESPN could pay him more.... he is sexist, possibly racist, greedy, ignorant and a narcissist.

That makes his jabs on Harden even more F'ed up. I know the media "boys" like ragging on Harden's D-eficiencies or whatever complaint of the week it is, but a coach should always have their former players back if they left on good/neutral terms.

You don't see Mark Jackson whining about how Steve Kerr snaked his way into a prime and cushy HC job because of new DB ownership. He's almost always complementary to those teams even when they don't deserve it

McHale took shots at Howard once Howard left. He took shots at Harden once he was fired. He took shots at some of the Timberwolves when he was fired.... his wife took shots at Daryl Morey.

When McHale was a player, he was often criticized by Bird and the coaching staff for his effort and discipline.

McHale is also a big Trump supporter, which is his right, but doesn’t go over well with NBA players.

McHale also took almost no blame for his failures as a coach, instead he said his players didn’t play hard enough.

He wasn’t brought on to be an X’s and O’s coach but as someone to lead and delegate to really gifted assistants. The problem was he wasn’t very good at leading and he didn’t trust his own assistants or any advanced data.

At the time I said the leadership style coach could work as KC Jones and others had been successful. McHale was just too petty.

To this day McHale blames him players for not playing harder and his GM not fighting harder for him being fired... never any self accountability.
