Man coach Bud one of the smartest coaches out there and he doesn't know how to hide the Brick Freak on offense lol. He is about to become the scapegoat and a team that snatches him up is gonna profit big time.

To be fair he is only 25 yrs old, understandable he won't have developed skills so early in his career.

However he is extremely overrated and def didn't deserve the 2MVPS and top All star votes he got IMO.

He's nowhere near a superstar. Most overrated player ever

Giannis is a younger, more athletic version of Dwight Howard.

He’s definitely a superstar and his regular seasons are mvp worthy. But in the playoffs, he’s far too easy to gameplan for. This might be a bigger indictment on Bud who always gets destroyed in the playoffs.

I think this is the best comparison he moves better than Dwight obviously but there is something similar in the way they move -- not smooth kind of stiff and mechanical.

This series is an indictment on both Giannis and Budenholzer. Until Giannis learns how to shoot open threes, the Bucks are going struggle in the playoffs. However, Budenholzer is also to blame because his defensive strategy is predicated on allowing teams to shoot as many open threes as they want. That makes them vulnerable against the Heat, who shoot 38% on three-point shots as a team. Not to mention, keeping Giannis on the bench in the fourth quarter yesterday when the Heat started making their run was idiotic. This wasn’t some meaningless game in December. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series in the NBA, yet Giannis was plastered to the bench as the Heat took the Bucks to school.

yes, i agree on all points. I would place more blame on Bud though because it seems to me that strategy (or lack thereof) is a what is killing them.

People don't seem to remember how hyped Dwight was back in his day
He took his team to the finals (or was it eastern finals)

Everyone saw the holes in his game
he was only checked by YAO

    Actually I think the opposite
    Giannas lacks a post game
JVG would bulk him up to have some sort of turn around
    some moves

If Giannas does not have a running start . . .he seems stuck

Yeah, he was supposed to be the next great center after Shaq. He did go to the Finals (beaten by the Kobe/Gasol Lakers).

Dwight never improved his basketball skills. He relies on his physicality his whole career. Giannis is still young. If he puts his mind to hone his skills, he can become much better than Dwight.

    Johnny is still a kid.

Dumb NBA hype machine did him no favors crowning him as the next Hakeem without even making it to the Finals... Now he's gonna evacuate his team like Katy.

Who the Next Kobe? Who the Next Jordan??

    **** those b****es.

A post game would help Giannis, but unless he can regularly force double teams from it, it doesn’t help the Bucks offense as much as him developing a reliable three-point shot. His teammates rely on his drive and kick ability to get open looks. By not making threes, teams can sag off Giannis like the Heat did in game three and dare him to shoot. That not only kills his game, but the entire Bucks’ offense. Right now, Giannis is the rich man’s Ben Simmons.

Yes, Yao made Dwight look like an obsolete player. Yao played circles around Dwight, and Dwight would get sooooo frustrated. It was hilarious.
