    This is why:

If this scenario is a possiblity, I'm deathly afraid. This could elevate tensions to a breaking point.

Just vote! I don’t care how you do it. Vote!

No matter how hard certain people try to prevent you from voting. Find a a way to vote!

A much bigger problem, in my opinion, is that mail-in votes have a much higher rejection rate due to voter error. If one party is using that method more heavily, they will be affected more. Presumably, Dems have made the calculation that the higher turnout will overcome the higher rejected votes, but it seems like a bad bet to me. Dems have more motivated voters this year, and will win a low-turnout election too. They absolutely should be pushing early voting - especially in places like Texas. Harris County's screwy attempt to send absentee applications to a whole bunch of ineligible voters just seems like a disaster waiting to happen when a bunch of those votes get contested for eligibility.

Yea, I read that. Education is in order. Like it or not, many people will choose to vote via mail much more this year due to covid. In those battle ground states, focus some resources on educating how to fill your ballot to reduce the chances. I wouldn't be surprise if there is an attempt to do exactly the opposite.

More than 500,000 mail ballots were rejected in the primaries. That could make the difference in battleground states this fall.

I think the almost exclusive focus on mail in was a strategic mistake.

I will also say that not campaigning so much in person of not just the candidate but also sending volunteers out to canvas was a strategic mistake. The hidden Trump vote might not have been a hidden vote but actually a new vote as Republicans especially in FL built up a huge advantage in new registrations as they went door to door registering people.

Mail in voting caused needless tension.

That being said, would those same mail in voters have voted if they weren't allowed to mail in? Its sad how much it takes to get liberal voters to actually vote.

I agree the emphasis should have been early vote. But Dems care about covid and public safety.

What the Dems need to do is put every available resource into figuring out how to securely administer online voting.

If that was accomplished Republicans would never win another Presidency.

I feel as if online voting is a very tough sell even to many Democrats due to the fears of online election hacking.

Agreed but if you are truly looking for a breakthrough this is the way to go. Make the efforts as the payoff would be worth it.
