Of course. You can't call yourself a fan if you aren't watching your team in game 7 (provided you have the means to do so. I do understand that a lot of people are going through tough times )
I’m not going to sit through a whole season of relatively meaningless regular season games, just to skip a playoff game 7 because I’m mad. That would be crazy. I will admit this team stresses the hell out of me though.
This is the stuff I live for as a fan! To miss a game 7 is unthinkable to me. Bring it on!! Go Rockets!!!!
I was way too invested in 2018. It was pretty unhealthy. I can't help it though. When you have a guy like Hakeem, McGrady, Harden - if you can't get invested in people like that, why even bother? I didn't care all that much when we were fielding Lowry/Dragic. That was fun to watch, but everyone knew it wasn't going anywhere. You gotta believe there's a switch these two haven't found yet. Remember how bad Hakeem/Clyde were in 94-95 before it "clicked"? That took time, and the roster in 94-95 was somewhat threadbare after the top 6 (Mad Max abandoned us). This is a ship you take to the end or you go down with the captain. We get to re-emerge at some point. Russ and Harden may not. I hope they see the enormity of the moment.
I almost just want to tune in about around the 10 o clock news time, and watch the final minutes. But man if Rockets blow them out it will be awesome.
I have a 3 month old and attempting to keep your cool and not yell at this team during this series has been extremely difficult. I think I am going to have to score watch on my phone for awhile before committing.
I think it all depends on Russ. He doesn't have to hit threes. Doesn't have to take 3s. But he has to be near all-star level that he was for 2 months there.
Congrats on the bundle of joy. I also have a 3 month old, and I've basically been watching on mute while the little guy snoozes in my lap or in the bassinet next to me. I was 11 when the Rockets won their second championship and vividly remember how up and down that entire season was. Game 7's are why we watch sports. I don't care about the circumstances, and whether we all believe that we should have won this series in 4, 5, or 6. The fact is we're here now. Ride or die. Let's go!
Just curious....how many of those who said they wouldn't watch....did? be honest, it's ok, we all get it.
I'll never understand why fans would skip a game, especially such a huge game. Win or lose, this is what being a fan is all about, enjoying or hating moments like this. It's what makes it fun being a fan. If you have health issues, then say no more, I understand, but if you are a healthy individual, then why the **** would you not watch the game. I'll never stop watching games. My wife gets all upset at me and sometimes we end up arguing. I pretty much tell her, deal with it or GTFO. I am an emotional individual and I absolutely love watching these gut wrenching games. It sucks when we lose and it's deflating, but then I'm back here discussing the future after a few days of rest. Thankfully today I get to discuss the series versus the Lakers. Should be a good one.
I watched the 2nd half after a friend reminded me it was on. I would have missed the whole thing otherwise.
