Yes the media Loves the Lakers for all those reasons. Heck the rest of America loves the Lakers because of all those reasons. This is the good vs evil battle of the NBA because we are the most hated team in the World! Our star is hated on because of his style of play. Our owner is hated because he is known to fraternize with Trump. We pissed off China. We are the evil empire! yea they are the 1 seed for a reason, but blazers played right into their hands. They even tried playing nurk and white side together to match size, but that only made them easier to defend. Downsizing would have been the better move. You can’t outsize the lakers, but you can be faster. That’s your only chance IMO.
Honestly you never know what can happen . Narratives can shift all of a sudden. It would be unexpected , but harden could get a friendlier whistle next series . He could make 3’s . Russ could draw such obvious fouls that they have to cal it . Lakers could play sloppy , lakers could play sharp . the expected scenario is refs favor the lakers to an extent that is so extreme it’s vomit inducing . But you gotta expect the unexpected

Such a great intro to a truly classic game. I loved seeing Michael Cooper, the guy not knowing that what he would be remembered for in that contest is the image of him laying on the floor staring up at the ceiling in disbelief. Not only disbelief that they lost, but how they lost, because of an impossible shot by Ralph Sampson that somehow went in against all the odds.
