Who cares about our matchup compared to other matchups? Like I said, we were favored to win.

And yet we were still favored to win.

    Rockets would've swept OKC.

    Soooo...

Sounds like a long close contested series shouldn’t have surprised anyone other than the fools who continued to live in this fantasy world where they truly believed OKC was a fluke and that Chris Paul was washed.

You are a superstar, an MVP level player. You have to perform for 4 quarters all the time. You are allowed a small number of bad games, but James Harden has way more bad games than any other superstar I can think.

Watching 2019 CP3, it definitely felt like he was washed.

    Inexperienced team?

    How do you figure that.

OKC has 4 guys with a lot of playoff experience, Paul, Gallinari, Schroeder and Adams.

Alexander was just in the playoffs last year.

I'm also a little confused how the Haters now are trying to discredit the Thunder in order to make the Rockets look bad? SMH. Didnt the Thunder have the "best starting 5" lineup in all of basketball? Their defense was the best. Etc... Etc...

I predicted a gentlemans sweep and was wrong. The Thunder played to the fullest skill levels they possessed. I dont think they could have played any better and their 3 wins came by a total of 19 points.

Im still waiting for the Rockets to play their best basketball.

OKC has some really good players, Schroder really showed me something and Alexander is better than I thought.

The rosters are pretty similar talent wise.

I was disappointed in Harden after game 6 he was way to passive but he showed me something down the stretch in 7.

This is Gilgeous-Alexander's 2nd year in the league, and he averaged about 40 mpg against us.

Dort is a rookie, and he averaged 29 mpg.

Gallinari doesn't have a lot of playoff experience. Prior to 2020, he played 18 total playoff games.

How does it make the Rockets look bad when it's pointed out that they beat an OKC team that everyone expected them to beat?

Beating OKC didn't change anyone's opinion of the Rockets and Harden. Beating LAL will.

But he wasnt, it was a down year.
Luka had no playoff experience and was balling out. Mitchel and Murray didnt have playoff experience either. Thunder were not a bad team. Thunder were better than the Blazers, Nuggets, and Jazz imo. And honestly, they probably could have beaten the Mavericks.

18 total playoff games is a lot it was 8 more than Covington.

    Alexander still had playoff exp.

The problem is Foster is always officiating "big time" games.

Also, the thing people don't talk about enough is that MOST stars shoot terribly in game 7s. Harden's shooting last night was especially bad, but game 7 in the playoffs is when defensive effort is always off the charts, let alone the pressure of the situation. Even Kobe, the 2nd most overrated player of my lifetime behind Iverson, was absolute trash in every game 7 he played that I can recall.

You realize that Luka, Mitchell, and Murray are all stars, right? Gilgeous-Alexander and Dort aren't. OKC wasn't a bad team, but everyone thought we were better.

Denver is easily better than OKC (Jokic gets whatever he wants against Adams), and I'd argue that Portland is as well.

It's mainly Alexander and Dort who are inexperienced. Who cares if Alexander had 6 games of playoff experience? That's still considered "inexperienced". Especially since this is his 2nd year in the league.

So the team is not inexperienced like you said?

    It's just those 2 guys?

    Make up your mind.

I don't understand why people demand that Harden be LeBron James or Michael Jordan to be worthy of their respect and appreciation. You don't have to be an unstoppable god to give your team a great chance at a title.

This exactly...Harden dragged his team to a win in the final few minutes in a tough fought game 7. While "heart of a champion" Chris Paul wilted.
