He is really just spouting his favorite narrative right now with ZERO way of supporting it.

Rockets have the #1 defense in the playoffs. Even a moron can see this is a BS stance.

Obviously our defense wasn't good enough to get us past the second round of the playoffs last year
or stop the warriors the year before or the Spurs before that

There's also rumors that Mike isn't even coming back next year if we fail to advance

Time to live in the moment.

You spend to much time in the past or the future, sounds miserable.

I said he doesn’t make defensive adjustments during crunch time during close games

you don’t need defensive adjustments when you are up by 20. If it’s close, That’s not the situation you want MDA in.

Ok, MDA and Elston Turner showed up tonight. The adjustment to have EG stick on CP was huge. It basically won us the game by preventing CP from dictating our defense.

However, one thing that really got me up out of my seat was the lack of a timeout before EG got that turnover cross halfcourt. That was a perfect timeout scenario. We up 1, got a stop, secured the rebound - all with just under 1 min left and 2 timeouts remaining. If CP hit that shot, this board would have lit up on MDA for not calling it. This was highlighted by the fact that when CP missed it, it was HARDEN and RUSS both signaling for the timeout. Coach is standing there beside himself.

Anyway, that's all. Besides that sequence, coach did aight.

    Defensive adjustments

The Lakers coach made adjustments after game 1

The Rockets coach never made adjustments for his entire tenure

Look I understand the homerism but not to the point where you are all blind to what's going on

I hope you guys see it now

The Lakers are getting wide-open looks and knocking down three years. I was shooting 56% Colombian New York this game. What does that tell you? You’re getting open looks because we have no closed interior defense, and this one on one strategy of switching players allows guys like LeBron to drive the lane and then this it’s a wide-open perimeter shooter. Then you add the fact that we can’t rebound against taller players and all the second chance points? That’s a recipe for disaster.

It’s time to face reality. Small ball doesn’t work. It never has, and it never will. It’s one thing to play small without a traditional, but we have absolutely no one to play post interior defense. This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen

Yes all of you thought that Mike D’Antoni made defensive adjustments

the only coach in the series that did that was Frank Vogel after game 1.
He told them to run at the three point shooters,
Double harden immediately and play the passing lanes.
