The majority of COVID markers in the USA are from the more deadly strain that emerged in Western Europe and not China. Also, the country hasn't been shut down for months.

Also, the "feverish work" has been done by the private sector and there are serious concerns about whether the vaccine will be properly vetted before being release.

The economy was booming when he took office, the President is no more responsible for the booming economy of 2016-2019 than he is for the sad economy of 2020. He gave enormous tax cuts to the ultra wealthy and crumbs to the poor.... all while only leading the country into greater debt.

What's crazy I'm pretty sure I've had more harsh and critical things to say about Pelosi than the actual OP.

Tell me this - why does the European Union, which still includes the United Kingdom, have over one hundred million more citizens than our United States, has also suffered from the pandemic, yet have collectively had a fraction of the cases and the deaths the United States has had. If trump has done such a fantastic job, why is our country vastly worse off than the social democracies of Europe?

Cases aren't a fair comparison due to more tests. Deaths are lower than many European countries, and our extremely liberal methodology to count "deaths" likely is far more stringent that Europe's.

It was a stupid thing for Pelosi to do, and I would be delighted if she resigned at House Majority Leader because of it. I think you are right about Sanders and Warren. However, I also believe what you clearly do and I have said it here more times than I can remember.

Even though the Democratic Party is clearly the majority party, the record doesn’t reflect it in large part because we spend more time fighting each other at the drop of a hat than concentrating on winning the next ****ing election. We’ve been busy doing just that since 1968, in my opinion.
