This doesn't say that CP3 wanted to be the center of the offense.

CP3 at age 35 was still an Allstar.

    WB alley ooped to him.

CP3 plays like he wants revenge. Wouldn't blame him, I'd do the same in his shoes.

How sweet it would be for him to beat the team that traded him to the middle of nowhere.

The trade wasn't just about this season. Do you still want CP3 at age 37 paying 40M?

    Just to be clear.
    Beating the Rockets this year
Would be CP3s greatest team accomplishment without Harden

Clippers got out of the first round
    Buy they were suppose too.

There was no debate between CP3 and Harden with Harden being the primary offensive option. That was never in question. CP3 got tired of Harden's late game antics were he walks around. CP3 wanted the pace to fluctuate with more variemce with mixture of fast and slow pace. Harden just wanted a slow pace. That was the main disagreement between the two.

I am glad we agree. He wanted something. Harden didn’t want to play with him, as I stated earlier in thread before you chimed in.

Your claim is that CP3 wanted to be the man at the expense of Harden when they merely had a disagreement in tactics. That isn't CP3 "wanting to take over". That's just a teammate that disagrees with a current aspect of how they play. This is routine.

Obviously the very best suitor would have been the Clips, they could offer Paul the most AND they had the most all star talent and a HOF coach.

But all the internal strife likely due in some part with the multiple epic failures in the postseason, never reaching WCF with such a talented and deep team, made this option completely unappetizing for CP3.

You are essentially.maokng an argument that two teammates can't disagree on play style. CP3 wasn't asking to be the man. He just disagrees with an aspect of tactics. You think this is exceedingly rare in the locker room?

It doesn't matter. What is done is done. It's not like the OKC are going anywhere...... except to be a spoiler to the Rockets.

I frankly think the CP3 and Harden pairing was on its last leg (or hamstring). People make it sound so easy to lose consistently in a crushing fashion then be back at it for next year.

well maybe if harden listened to the suggestions CP (one of the smartest /highest IQ players we've seen) we wouldn't have issues. The more ball movement etc stuf wasn't met well with james
