I live in Chicago, there are protests several times a week. Indeed there is even looting....... all in a two block area. I cannot speak for Portland, but I can for Chicago. The city isn't burning down "around me". Could you possibly be any more dramatic? Go spend some time in the Austin neighborhood or Garfield Park and get back to me.

 

Ehh..... there is 90 days until the election.

Now it is up to 55% of voters viewing Trump as unsatisfactory as undecided voters have become decided.

The polls show Biden with a 7-12% lead.

I have always thought this would be a close election, an incumbent is running...... but any change in the support variables has largely leveled off over the last 30 days.

The conventions are over, some how the democratic convention drew better than the republican one.

Basically Trump needs to crush it in the debates or something unusual has to happen for him to win. It is possible, but only about a 30-40% chance of happening.

You need Joe to **** the bed at the debates to get it up to a 50/50 proposition. It is possible, but not smooth sailing for Trump.

 

Not surprising, trump and his campaign will lie, about everything, all the time...

 

You seriously believe the polls? After last time? Do you not believe there are many silent Trump supporters out there who are scared to say their true feelings in public, for fear of being cancelled by the intolerant left?

This will come down to Florida, Arizona and Wisconsin in my opinion. Your national stats are not insightful.

I tried to read it, I really did.

You are a sharp man and informed. I know you find her insightful but she just isn’t relevant to me. I will continue trying but she is like my old neighbor.

We used to live in an upper middle class enclave outside of Chicago, full of two income households where most the residents viewed themselves as enlightened “liberals”. My neighbor would come home, sit on her porch sipping Chardonnay with her grey haired, polo wearing husband discussing politics while Bruce Hornsby or Peter Gabriel played across their manicured lawn.

I remember her droning on to me about being an old hippie while telling me how wonderful her new Jaguar is and sprinkling advice like she was Oprah.

That is until it was 9-10 o’clock and she would be drunk screaming at her husband for cheating on her and at her daughter for sleeping with *******.
