I am proud of the counter protestors being strong in the face of the vicious assault. The convoy heading to Portland wasn’t with assault vehicles and armored jeeps , they came to put a show of force of peace and law obedience to counter the Antifa types. Looks like they may have already found the murderer of the trump supporter. such a pos animal needs to be in the cage forever ...

I want to make it clear to my ignorant liberal friends , I am for the confrontation not for the bloodshed but for the right to counter protest and for the world to see one side vs the other ...one side peaceful . The other CNN Defined mostly peaceful

yes "force of peace" makes total complete sense.
why is there a caravan of outsiders going to a place to invoke their beliefs and feelings? what happened to keeping things local? don't like an area for whatever reason then leave. if portland wants to live a certain way, let them.

Quick question, would you shoot someone with a paint gun outside of a game range?

THEY ARE HEROS! Lib protestors with their anti-Trump signs = terrorists. They must be stopped and if violence is the only way then so be it!

It won't be long before Trump calls any liberal, black, or democrat a member of Antifa

I think all sides agree that the mayor of this city is incompetent

Sylvester Turner wouldn’t let this happen

I haven’t read through this whole thread heard about the person getting killed.

This is exactly the type of stupidity that I was warning about. The type of sectarian conflict that could turn this country into Northern Ireland in the 70’s.

I don’t know what the facts that got the person killed besides that he was a Trump supporter but like with Rittenhouse he shouldn’t have been there. There was no reason to go to Portland other than to make a political statement that has now gotten someone killed like Rittenhouse killed two and almost died himself.

I have no hesitation criticizing the looting and violence carried out by those claiming to do so because of LE killing black men. This isn’t about whether one group agrees with me or not. There should be no place for either looting and arson or outsiders coming in and thinking they are there to enforce law and order when they are only making things much worse.

I agree with this post 100%. Why doesn't the governors send in the national guard? No need for Federal troops if the state's governors do their duty. You would think if there was a moment that needed the NG called in to stabilize things, this is that moment. If people want to continue to protest, they will at least have a little more protection to exercise their rights to do so. I know a lot of you guys blame Trump, but it's the states' National Guard who should be called upon.

it might not matter who instigates . Besides who instigated it depends on what channel you watch

I think those governors care more about keeping this **** going and blaming it on Trump than they do protecting their citizens.

There's absolutely no excuse for the lack of action on their parts , in some places for over 90 days. A handful of days , I get it , lets not escalate the situation .... but we're well beyond that point , we were well beyond that when the first person was killed in CHAZ.

Those politicians want that violence , they don't give a damn who dies as long as they believe it benefits them in November. We're all expendable - their power / position isn't.

My guess is most potential “swing voters” are gonna blame both sides of the evidence in who started what is muddled in a chaotic situation. I don’t think that a “both sides” situation is good for Trump.

And if the violence continues, and Trump is seen as all talk and no bite (his earlier Portland stunt did nothing), I am not sure this would be a good result for him, either.

i'm astounded by all the folks in this thread pretending that Portland has been a peaceful rose garden of eden these past few months. i know the media doesn't report it, but there's plenty of video evidence.

get out of your bubble, and the toil and trouble will be obvious.
