Fear of losing their jobs, which neither have in the slightest. Despite some losers chasing them with cameras, they have no fear.

    "Defies logic..."
Trying to defuse a potentially deadly and unlawful incident (allowed to fester by a Democrat) defies logic...
    That is illogical.
The other cities that were beseiged called in help and are now settled. Wheeler in Portland is the last holdout.

    So what is your solution?
    How long will it take?

Trump in Tweetstorm Over Portland Death,

Portland has been the site of protests, often violent, for months, following the killing of a Black man, George Floyd, by police in Minnesota in late May.

Trump praised as “GREAT PATRIOTS” the hundreds of his supporters who rolled into the city in a convoy of cars and trucks on Saturday.

One thing the last 50 years have taught me is, you can't subdue an indigenous population with force. If you could we wouldn't still be in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Vietnam would have gone our way. You'd do a lot better addressing the root cause of reaction rather than thinking you're just going kill all the opposition. You can't, they live there and you don't.

So you send in the National Guard to Portland. How long is the bivouac? (love that word) Eventually you have to go home and the people are still there.

My solution is supporting black education, loaning money for black businesses, building affordable housing, a livable minimum wage, more universal healthcare that does not depend on for profit insurance, more police training, more mental health units for police, a better public defense system, you know, democrat stuff.

I'd guess it will take at least two more generations (40 years) with gradually changing attitudes and racists dying off.
I stated somewhere before I thought when they integrated my high school in 1970 it would only take the WW2 generation dying off, but here we are 50 years later and this is why:

President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

And as I have said a lot: Conservatives = Grifters and their Rubes

    As per: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trickle-down_economics

Violence is the last resort of people without a voice. There wouldn't be violence without 150 years of systemic racism. How are poor people supposed to lobby against billionaires and corporations? Congressmen won't even take their call without a check. Campaigns are run on money, hiring PR firms to promote whatever vision serves it, including bold face lies ( Many are saying...) Money is free speech after all.

How is that equal representation? Why should people stand for it? What else should they do?

I believe most of the stuff mentioned in your solutions is already ongoing.
Will that eliminate the 400 years of racism?
    Will it be enough?
Will people stop committing crime, resisting arrest and disobeying police officers direct orders?

Stfu. All of these people can vote or say whatever they want. They have a voice. Stop justifying murder, looting, and rioting . And more over stop doing it poorly.

Violence is not the answer. Does it look like violence is working for your side?

Without a voice? They have a voice alright which is precisely why the Democrats rely on it so heavily on election day.

Does it look racial discrimination is working for yours?

I am not lauding violence, I'm just trying to show the root cause and suggesting we make positive steps rather than confrontation, that confrontation leads to escalation.

To paraphrase Admiral Paitnter: "This is going to get out of control and we will be lucky to live through it"

Emotions are understandably high right now man.
Making ill informed comments that happen to fan the flames causing the conflagration also do not help.

Dude, this race card playing is so old. Do you think white people are the only racists? It certainly looks that way.
    It makes you look ...racist.
