I think its more they are interested in extending the series not necessarily want OKC to advance. for entertainment purposes I think its much better to get to harden and westbrook vs bron and AD.
This is incoherent... Them fouling more than us is completely relevant... I'm not insinuating anything... The refereeing HAS BEEN BAD. No it doesn't make sense that the fouls called are down because they're actually fouling, but much of it hasn't been called especially in comparison to what we've been called for.
I can only speak for myself here, but I don't think it's a league conspiracy or an anti-rockets conspiracy. I think that certain refs dislike certain players, this is confirmed and made a lot more clear if you read Tim Donaghys book. He tells two stories in the book that I'm going to paraphrase here. One ref, who was very open to all the other refs about how much his disliked a certain player, would intentionally not give that player calls even though he knew that player was being fouled. Again, the ref was open about this (to the other refs). Donaghy would bet against that players team when that specific ref was assigned to the game, this is how he made money. Another ref had his grandson attending a game on his birthday, to go see his favorite player. Since the refs grandson was there in the crowd to watch his favorite player, that ref sent him to the line like 18 times or so during the game. I read the books years ago so I'm not sure the details are exactly right, but the point is that the refs have their own biases. They have players that they like and dislike. They also have calls that they like and dislike, for example, I think some refs are more likely to call "landing zone" fouls, and other refs are less likely to call them. Some refs are more likely to call body to body contact on drives, some less, things like that. So if you're a team or player that gets undercut on your jumpshots a lot, and you've got the ref who hates making that call, that's a disadvantage. If none of your players like taking contested jumpers, then it won't really matter. All these things together can appear like an anti rockets conspiracy, but again, in my opinion it has nothing to do with our team. Though I do think Tony Brothers and Scott Foster have a dislike for James Harden.
If the refs are going to do anything it’s extend the series but let harden win. Harden is a bigger sell, NBA will prefer him to progress. Don’t worry guys.
You really think the whole league hate them to the point they want to sabotage this one team? I find it hard to believe. I am pretty sure there are other widely hated personalities (players, coaches, executives). In fact, I think Chris Paul is hated by many in the league.
you would think cp3 is hated. certainly as bad or worse than harden at gaming calls/flopping. but if you listened to the announcers yesterday, they were so excited every time cp3 made a bucket. they were all aboard the cp3 comeback express. last year, he was old when he threw himself into people and desperate to get a call. now, he's just crafty and needs many ft's for his smarts.
they dont have the story line houston and OKC have. also the other teams getting swept arent good enough to take advantage even if the refs did give them a little help.
Oh wow, I really really hope you are stupid or extremely young. Here's something to help you get going with life: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies Thanks.
another 14 ft game. another big disparity (almost double fouls). even with 3 point attempts almost equal.
NBA purists don’t like the way we play with no mid range. If we win a championship with our style they are probably afraid more and more teams will adopt our style of basketball which would basically lead to just a three point chucking contest. Also the NBA is run by Nike and Harden is Adidas. ESPN is owned by Disney and the CEO of Nike is one of their bird of directors.
just imagine what will happen against the Lakers every postseason, Harden can’t get to the line with regularity, but all these other stars see their free attempts and free throw rate increase Doncic is just a 2nd year player...he has no problem getting to the line Donovan Mitchell is getting a better whistle than Harden everyone has been on Dort’s dick, but if he was playing that aggressive defense against Kawhi, Doncic, Lillard, etc, he’d be fouling out by halftime
Right!? When are we all going to collectively figure this out? Maybe deep down we don’t want to cause we’ve all been brain washed. Somehow, maybe next year, they will make this a fair competition. Let me tell you something, NOTHING has changed. The only ones that could stand up to the machine was the Spurs. They had a coach with a backbone and would not get bullied by anyone. And had a really good core that truly wanted to play with each other... mostly foreigners. Everyone else walks that line. Even the Rockets. Harden has already gotten paid... he knows he ain’t winning a cup any time soon. He gonna be 5 years from now on a banana boat with Liliard “teaming” up. You don’t see anyone who wants to win pull up or take plays off the way he does. Rant done.
