That is fascinating...considering it just happened 6 months ago (even though it seems like years ago at this point). Then again, not many congressional members spoke at the Convention.
hard to know. Dems would seem to benefit more by bringing it up, but with it having failed, bringing it up might have backfired on them. clearly a calculated decision not to bring it up
It would be against the law and the FEC would be the agency in charge, but at Present Trump will not fill out enough directors that they can even have a quorum to approve actions. That's right, the Federal Election committee that investigate election fraud is being controlled by Trump. I learned this in a comedy bit on The Daily Show.
I think with everything that has happened since impeachment it isn't an issue in mind with the public or the parties. Also I can see how both parties dont' think it's a winner. For the Democrats he wasn't removed from office and gives ammo to the Trump argument that the Democrats just want to get rid of him by any means necessary. For Republicans it is a reminder that Trump was impeached, the first time a first term President was and the first time that a member of the President's own party voted to remove.
This is true. I also saw it was the reason why Kanye isn't submitting a list of his donors...allows for any GOP operatives that are financing his campaign to remain anonymous. No one can do anything about it because the FEC has no power.
