Experts agree that even if a Democratic govt. had been in power the result would likely be the same - citing Americas unpreparedness. Biden also showed that he would have likely been even slower to respond by his comments stating Trump's early actions as "hysterical" and " Xenophobic". Trump initiated one of the largest mobilization responses since WWII. Our downfall was in the population itself taking it too lightly and trying to live their lives as per normal with parties and other gatherings. The only way to stop all that would have been draconian measures - which also would have been criticized by Dems. The answer now is to continue public education re recommendations.
I don't agree with most of your post, but I would like to specifically ask you one thing related to your comment, which I ironically tend to agree with. From the one sentence I quoted above, do you feel that Donald Trump's attitude and messaging had ANYTHING to do with several pockets of the population taking it lightly? For example, if President A said in December or January "Folks, this is serious. If we do not get in front of this now, we will turn one or two months of inconvenience, sickness, and even death, into ALL OF 2020 being riddled with inconvenience, sickness, and death. I know our economy will hurt immediately, and this is going to be a challenge for all of our small businesses, but it is better if the challenges only last a month or two, as opposed to much, much longer. or President B: this Chinese virus is a hoax, I think only 15 people have coughed so far. It will be 1 soon, and it will all just go away. Please attend my rallies. It's honestly better for me and my numbers if we don't test, because then the numbers will stay low. Oh yea, when you attend my rallies, all you have to do is sign a legally binding document saying that you won't sue me if you get Covid, which again is a hoax. Like it or not, and supporters can continue to ignore this connection, but his LACK OF LEADERSHIP early on absolutely has a direct correlation with how the vast majority of everyday people initially responded to this global epidemic.
You have completely ignored the point of my question about Trump tonight, and the lack of social distancing and masks of 1,500 seated guests spaced 6 inches apart. Don't deflect. My question was how do you defend him doing this during a pandemic? Shouldn't he ensure taking precautions to stop the spread at the advice of experts? Shouldn't he be setting an example for everyone to follow? Do you think this is reckless and careless? Does this seem like a man who cares if people are put in harm's way just to hear him speak? No, Biden would not do this. He cares about people. He cares about following the advice of experts and setting an example as a leader. We should all care, or this will never go away. Just deal with it is not the attitude to take. Deaths matter. People getting sick and hospitalized for months matter.
He also said that nobody that's needed a ventilator has been denied a ventilator. This is totally false, and offensive, I'm sure to people that had family members die while waiting for a ventilator. Also, funny because your nice president and idiot son in law are the ones leading your response task force.
The short answer is that we all saw an expert, Dr. Fauci, on TV regularly telling us how serious it is and making his recommendations.
If you are so worried about masks, look at the businesses being torched and that should make you feel better.
This is Trump's America. This is what our nation has become with him as our leader. As for masks and social distancing, yes, I expect the President to lead by example. Do you? Answer that. Do you believe this pandemic is real? Answer that. Do you expect the President to tell the truth? 3 questions. It's simple. Yes or no. Stop deflecting.
Do your own homework and stop being so ignorant to the truth. If it slapped you in the face you wouldn't even know what hit you. Here is just one example of many. Wake up and face the truth. Stop listening to the pathological liar for his tainted version of it. Pune: No ventilator bed at 10 hospitals for patient with Covid symptoms More than 10 hospitals said they had neither an oxygen bed nor a ventilator bed available. https://indianexpress.com/article/c...search-of-ventilator-bed-turned-away-6529830/
Did you see on TV multiple times a world renown expert make recommendations to wear masks? Then why do you need any further leadership?
Well I gave you just one of many examples and it took me like 10 seconds to find it. Stop posting and start reading. It will make you more informed to debate.
And an ongoing investigation is in place. But of course, to rabid leftists, it is Trump's fault, and not the state.
Detroit hospital warns some coronavirus patients may not get ventilators https://www.bridgemi.com/michigan-h...-coronavirus-patients-may-not-get-ventilators A draft of policy at Henry Ford Health System suggests the worst of COVID-19 is yet to come — and doctors will have to ration life-saving care and decide who is sick enough to receive a ventilator. “Some patients will be extremely sick and very unlikely to survive their illness even with critical treatment,” reads the document, which circulated on social media Thursday. “Treating these patients would take away resources for patients who might survive,” it continued. The document, which was addressed to patients and their families but not sent to them, instructed providers that some patients, such as those with severe heart, lung, kidney and liver failure, terminal cancers or severe brain trauma and burns may not be eligible for ventilator or intensive care, but “will receive treatment for pain control and comfort measures.” This was when Trump was in a pissing match with Whitmer over politics. Took me two minutes to find. Edit: not sure why the formatting is showing up like that..sorry.
