And this is why you are losing the middle of the country. You’d rather have zealots than actually deal with the uncomfortable truth that there is a variety of opinion, much of it reasonable, and very little of it extreme. but continue with your extremism. I promise you that all of the independents reading your comments are turned off by your righteous indignation.
I like how pointing out the reality that a sizeable portion of the MAGA crowd is deplorable is “extreme”...gimme a break u should be turned off by Trump’s incompetence, corruption, and bungling of Covid-19...not me pointing out all the racists, bigots, conspiracy theorists, Confederate and Nazi sympathizers, and white supremacists that are part of the MAGA cult I’m tired of these lame little games people try to play...”Trump is horrible, but your comments are gonna turn me off and make me vote for him”...man, please...
So what had convinced you, up until this point, to not vote for Trump that could be overturned by a stranger on a message board being mean to you?
it’s such a lame little game some people try to play when they’re looking for any excuse to vote for Trump or were planning to vote for him to begin with Trump has labeled the left radical terrorists, Antifa, etc...I guess OP didn’t mind all that...but me pointing out the trash that resides within the MAGA cult is enough for him to possibly vote for Trump and overlook everything he’s done in his 4 years as president...
This is the most incredible phenomenon. I heard a piece on NPR (I think) addressing it, I'll have to try to dig it up. Critical thought doesn't stand a chance against warm fuzzies.
I expect Trump to win because he is the incumbent. I do not want him to win and I would take Pence as president at this point. I hate everything about Trump’s ethos.
If Trump wins, America is ****ed, and I will be ashamed of every American that put party over country. Also, Trump is far more likely to try and abolish term limits for presidents so he can avoid prison time than becoming more moderate in his policies.
definitely dishonest..they know exactly what they’re doing I’d have more respect if they just came out and stated their true intentions instead of acting like people can’t easily see through their BS if I have a choice between X and Y, and I really want Y, then I’ll magnify the slightest faults of X, and overlook all the faults of Y...that’s what all these supposed “I’m not voting for Trump, but really I am” people love to do
If anyone still needs to be convinced to not vote for Donald Trump after what has happened in 2020, then they don’t care about their fellow Americans and the country’s future. This upcoming election isn’t about typical party values and politics. It’s about human decency and protecting America’s democracy. Donald Trump is a despicable person that lacks the basic moral compass to lead this nation and is actively trying to erode America’s democratic processes as much as he can. Also, he is the most corrupt president in American history, surpassing Richard Nixon, and he has handled the COVID-19 pandemic terribly.
he can’t even say if he’ll accept the results of the election if he lost and do a peaceful transition of power...never thought I’d hear a president say that
Your post is that of a typical hyper liberal extremist -- please be rational you're giving the election to Trump.
I've been saying that Trump has a good chance of winning. It's not great there are certainly hurdles but it is very much a possibility. If Trump wins I do predict there will be rioting and violence. I think there is such acrimony and division that it will happen. I also predict if Trump loses there will be violence for the same reason and that Trump has stoked violence. Given his claims that the only way he can lose is if the election is rigged means that he is already preparing his followers to go and fight if he loses. A Trump second term I think will be very ineffective. There is nothing showing that his Administration really has the ability to move major legislation. The tax cut was Republican orthodoxy that any Republican President could get passed with a Republican majority. The USMCA is essentially NAFTA plus TPP. The Phase II Coronavirus bill was a crisis situation and notably Trump has been completely unable to get a Phase III bill. The one interesting one is criminal justice reform but that was helped passed by Democrats and had long been pushed by Democrats. Otherwise the GOP Congress turned down the Wall and opposed some other Trump initiatives. With a Democratic Congress the only thing might be an infrastructure bill. Further I don't think Trump really is interested in governing. I think he likes being President. I think he likes the pomp, he likes power, and people kissing his ass but the actual work of governing not really. What I do expect from him though is further using the tools of government to keep on enriching himself in his family. i expect him to push things like hosting major events at his properties. To try to redirect the military and state department to use his or his families business. I also expect to see deals with foreign governments to also be connected benefits to his family business. I do expect him to be impeached again. If it happens after the 2022 midterms I think the odds will greatly increase he will be the first President removed from office. As at that point his political capital will be at it's weakest since he can't run again and the Republicans will look to set them up for the next generation.
Agreed. The fact Trump said that should open every American’s eyes as to the kind of person he is and scare all of us. Yet, there are still people that will vote Republican because they have always done so, hate Liberals, etc. It disgusts me.
