try doing it in a less idiotic way. That’s what gets you hammered around here. If you don’t want to be called out as stupid, dont post stupid things. Just like if trump doesn’t want the called a racist, stop saying stuff that racists say.

 

I'm sure it's a mix of things. The problem, to me, is that it's so politicized that there are political agents at work here. There's far right, such as the boogaloo boys (or however they spell it). There's so-called antifa, which is more likely a bunch of internet thugs that have no tight knit affiliations. There's BLM, which has taken on its own agenda, and can be destructive by design.

The problem is the alt right guys try to blend in and blame the left. The left doesn't know how to quit from consuming itself. There's other kids, like the one arrested today, that think they're police officers and just show up wanting to run things and turn the place into Call of Duty.

None of it's good.


How has the President not even acknowledged any of this is beyond me. This situation calls for leadership, transparency, and a bit of force - none of which this administration has shown capable of.

 

That is the crux of the whole issue right there - a different perspective is considered "idiotic."
How can we meet in the middle?
I asked a simple, honest question and immediately it is branded as idiotic.
How can we ever be reconciled as a nation when such blatant disrespect is accepted as the norm?

As has been pointed out to you at nearly every turn, for example in the dialogue above, your thoughts too frequently are either incoherent, unsupported by any facts or worse. And that seems to be perfectly ok with you. You think you should be able to say nonsensical things without getting called an idiot, and when you’re called out, you think it’s just because you have different views.

so to be clear, have different views. Totally fine. The fact that they are different is not the problem. I have plenty of friends who remain staunch republicans and while we disagree on positions, at least there is a basis for their policy positions.

you asserted there were reports that the rioters were white supremacists.

when asked, you could not explain that assertion or cite a report.

the reason this comes across as idiotic is (1) you don’t know what you’re talking about, (2) this is a false assertion that attempts to paint white supremacists as Victims of lies, and (3) straight out of the Trump textbook, you cite in unnamed/fictitious sources to support a bogus point and the claim (media making incorrect report of WS = rioters) made feeds the argument that the media reports fake news, which is hilarious because the alleged fake news was never reported to begin with...rather it is a totally false claim to begin with. A fabrication. A lie.

 

Nah, the issue is you referring to white supremacists as "concerned citizens" and known hate groups as "other groups". Like the Klan were those fellas and militias are groups of patriotic Americans.

Pretty unexpected, or not.

 

Content is precisely what I allude to.
When you can pinpoint what exactly is "idiotic", then maybe we can establish some ground from which to proceed.

Well, I presented you with facts showing hate groups Patriot's Prayer and Proud Boys regularly descending on Portland from out of town and you called them "other groups" and "concerned citizens". That is an excellent example of what divides the country. Facts vs alternative facts. You want to have an honest argument without the proper lens to have it.

In fact, it's not the first time you've done this. I've asked you repeatedly to substantiate your claim that Obama made wild unsubstantiated claims in his speech. You have yet to substantiate.
