NBA ratings were already bottom barrel. If it starts back up or even sometime next season they gonna be lower than Nickelodeon.

Donate all their arenas to become covid19 proof voting centres.
Start local market campaigns to inform to register to vote..

That's some simple things that they could accept easily....or maybe not I dunno.

I’m sure the meeting got ugly when the players that have already gotten their max contracts and are set for life told the players trying to earn their paychecks they should walk off their job because a knife wielding child assaulter got shot by police

When I was in my early 20s, I imagine I would be one of the people fussing and crying. But sports just don’t mean much to me anymore.

i meant emotions are high, which they clearly are or they wouldn't be meeting, not that they are being emotional/irrational.

    the NBA is self-immolating

the broad appeal built my Magic, Larry, Michael, and David Stern is being torn to shreds

I doubt it will ever recover

If LaBron doesn’t want to play than he needs to retire. Doing this would give him time to advocate for his believes. The NBA as league need to play on, IMO. Let players walk if they choose and finish with the players that stay & g leaguers. Letting the players do this to the product is wrong because it’s not about athletic competition. If this continues the league as a whole has no value as a sports venue.

They are too smart to do that, why take a socialist construct job like a cop when they can make it in the private sector and make much more money?

    America is self-destructing.

The country itself is in complete institutional disarray.

I doubt it will ever recover.

That’s what I’m saying. Anything the owners offer is going to seem weak.

Truthfully, I don’t think there is a cohesive message here. There isn’t one voice from the players, speaking to one voice from the owners. Just a mess. Which is why I’m surprised there’s so much open fracturing.

If there’s anything corporations hate, it’s having their dirty laundry aired in public.

This isn't just about sending a message. Right now at least 30 Billionaires in 30 of the biggest cities in America are bleeding money and will continue to till this is sorted out. Those 30 Billionaires personally know Senators, Mayors, other politicians and other influencial billionaires. They'll make calls and pull strings and ask for favors to get this resolved as quick as they can. Now when you factor in other sports leagues playing copycat and the massive losses to media and sponsors then you'll see how this boycott gets the ball rolling.
