If these are the limitations of a multimillionaires and the millions that follow them, is my protesting an NBA game really the problem?

These rich athletes talk a lot, but very few of the make an actual impact on society other than a cool message on a jersey. Be real.

I would add the police and gun usage in this country are out of control.

why do we only care about this stuff every 4 years when it’s close to election time. Like I said after 11/3/2020 everything gonna go back to usual. Black folk still won’t get treated well. They are only putting up with the riots and looting as much as they are because it’s an election year. And they badly want trump out of office

Something tells me they will want "to be our escape going down the road"....Watching these largely enabled players makes me realize that the could wake up and find people don't really give that big of a sh*t whether they bounce a basketball up and down the court. They fans were already shorted on the number of games played (understandable) and now they back out of the limited schedule...be careful what you ask for.

The only problem is u acting all butthurt because the players are doing something that makes u uncomfortable. U said you’re done. Well, bye...

they’re clearly doing more than talking now, and they dgaf about making u uncomfortable while doing it

Police should not be acting as judge, jury, and executioner. If this man is accused of a crime, let the police detain him in a reasonable way. Why shoot first? Why shoot someone in the back before you have established a deadly threat? If there is a risk inherent in any confrontation, why are the negative consequences born only by the civilians? The police are trained professionals who chose to do this job. Shouldn't the benefit of the doubt first go to the civilian?

Cops seem to have no problem arresting white suspects alive, including belligerent white protesters armed with large rifles and mass murderers. They arrested Dylann Roof alive after he massacred a church full of people, then they bubble wrapped him in a bullet proof vest to make sure no harm befell him. But don't let a black man twitch the wrong way, don't want to take any chances, just kill him and ask questions later. If you don't see a double standard here, you are willfully blind.

Pretty sure those millions didn't learn about this shooting from their favorite NBA game getting cancelled today.

Sorry man, your sensationalist rhetoric based on a few anecdotes is destroyed by the actual statistics:

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-myth-of-systemic-police-racism-11591119883

What do you suggest? That the police just let someone go because they resisted and realllllly didn't want to be arrested?

Why do they need bullets, use animal tranquilizers..... think outside the box.

Most of the times you dun need to fire shots to apprehend someone.

    Agreed on double standard.

    Fair.
Fair. Let's see if they feel it when my business stops paying for the suite and season tickets that I'm cancelling today.

I'm not alone, either. They might forget who helps pay their bills and their salaries. I won't.

Peaceful protest doesn't equal "I quit my job"

Chicago - last Republican mayor in 1944
Baltimore - last Republican mayor in 1967
St. Louis - last Republican mayor in 1949

They may not have become that way cuz of leftist policies, but they sure as heck haven't gotten better in over 50 years of Democratic policies. What exactly have they done to uplift and better their communities under Democratic policies? I mean they've been running the show for 50+ years, but they continue to blame Republicans and Conservatives.
