That the police officers in the Jacob Blake case had the means and opportunity to subdue him without resorting to lethal force. They could have easily tackled him before he gets to the car door. He wasn’t sprinting around the vehicle, and there were three officers at the scene. Nobody is saying the officers should have gone easy on Blake, and I don’t see how tackling him to the ground and putting handcuffs on him would be considered doing so. Also, if this was a white person in Blake’s position, people would still be outraged at the way the police officers handled the situation. Blake was wrong for resisting arrest, but the officers on the scene had the means and opportunity to apprehend him via non-lethal methods and didn’t do it.
Greek students are EU citizens with the right to live and work in the EU. Here we go again.
